You didn't know how Rin managed to convince you to have a sleepover at his place, but here you were, standing in his living room with your overnight bag slung over your shoulder.
"I still don't know why I agreed to this," you said, plopping down on his couch.
Rin gave you a rare smirk. "Because I said I'd make dinner."
"True," you admitted. His cooking was worth the trip alone.
After a quick dinner and some casual conversation, the two of you settled into his living room, flipping through TV channels in search of something to watch.
"Do you want action, comedy, or something boring like a documentary?" Rin asked, scrolling through the options.
"Definitely not a documentary," you said with a laugh. "Let's go with comedy. Something light."
Rin nodded, selecting a movie and grabbing the remote. He didn't say much as the film started, but every now and then, you caught him glancing at you out of the corner of his eye.
The movie wasn't even halfway through before you started nodding off. The warmth of the blanket, the dim lighting, and the soothing sound of Rin's quiet laughter lulled you into a peaceful sleep.
Rin noticed you were asleep when your head gently tipped onto his shoulder. He froze for a moment, unsure what to do. Then, ever so carefully, he shifted so you were lying comfortably against him.
He glanced down at you, your peaceful expression illuminated by the faint glow of the TV. A soft smile tugged at his lips as he reached for his phone.
Snap.
He took one picture. Then another. And another.
"She'll probably kill me for this," he muttered, though he didn't stop.
One picture accidentally sent to the group chat wouldn't hurt, right? Except Rin, in his sleep-deprived state, didn't realize he'd hit "Select All" before sending the photos.
Group Chat: "Blue Lock Chaos"
Bachira:
YO, WHY IS [YOUR NAME] AT YOUR HOUSE??Chigiri:
And why are you taking pictures of her while she's asleep??Isagi:
Wait, THEY'RE SLEEPING TOGETHER IN THE SAME HOUSE?!Reo:
Same HOUSE? Look at the blanket—they're on the SAME COUCH.Bachira:
RIN. ARE YOU GUYS SHARING A BED??Nagi:
Too much effort to care, but wow.Rin:
...Rin's face turned red as he stared at the messages flooding in. He hadn't even realized he'd sent the pictures until Bachira started spamming the chat.
When you woke up, the TV was off, and the living room was quiet. Rin was sitting beside you, scrolling through his phone with an expression that could only be described as "internally screaming."
"What time is it?" you asked groggily, rubbing your eyes.
"Late," Rin said quickly, shoving his phone into his pocket. "Come on. You can sleep in my bed. I'll take the couch."
You blinked at him, surprised. "You don't have to do that. It's your bed."
"It's fine," he said, already grabbing a spare blanket.
But when you finally made your way to his room, he hesitated.
"There's enough space," you said, yawning. "If it's that big of a deal, we can both sleep here. Just stay on your side."
Rin looked like he wanted to protest but eventually relented. "Fine."
The next morning, you woke up to the sound of your phone buzzing incessantly. Groggily, you reached for it, only to see the group chat absolutely blowing up.
Bachira:
Good morning, Mrs. Itoshi! How was your night?Chigiri:
Did Rin make breakfast in bed for you?Isagi:
Do you two want us to start planning the wedding?Your stomach dropped as you scrolled up and saw the pictures Rin had accidentally sent.
"Rin," you said slowly, sitting up and glaring at him. "What is this?"
He glanced at your phone and immediately looked away, his face turning red. "I... didn't mean to send them."
"You didn't delete them either!" you exclaimed, holding up your phone.
Before Rin could respond, another message popped up.
Bachira:
WAIT. Are they sharing a bed in that last photo??"Why did you even take pictures in the first place?!" you demanded.
Rin sighed, running a hand through his hair. "You looked... peaceful. I thought it was cute. I wasn't going to show anyone."
You stared at him, caught off guard by his honesty. "Well, now everyone has seen them!"
"Do you want me to delete the group chat?" he offered.
"Not the point!"
Despite your irritation, you couldn't help but feel a little flustered. Rin rarely showed his softer side, and the fact that he'd gone out of his way to capture the moment was... sweet, in its own awkward way.
"You owe me breakfast," you muttered, crossing your arms.
"Fine," Rin said, already heading to the kitchen. "But you're explaining this to them, not me."
As he left, your phone buzzed again.
Chigiri:
Rin's cooking for her now. They're basically married. You groaned, flopping back onto the bed. Maybe you should delete the group chat after all.
