Keep You Safe - Damian Priest

Placing the hanger on the rail I let out a sad sigh. I was sad that this had to be my life. It wasn't the path I really wanted to take but circumstances made this the safest option.

That's what I needed..............to be safe. I hadn't counted on someone showing an interest in me especially not some one on the roster. So far I had been able to resist his charms but it had discouraged him. I'm shook from my thoughts by strong tattooed arms wrapping around my waist

"Y/N I have a confession to make. Ever since I met you I have been able to get you off my mind. You are everything I want and more" he says softly "when I see you I have to hold back, because I just want to undress you and make love to you all night long"

"Do you really think that kind of talk is appropriate Mr Priest" I chuckle but he doesn't let go of me

"That depends" he whispers his warm breath fanning over my skin

"On what?" I ask only just keeping myself together

"On how my words made you feel" he whispers "tell me what I have to do to have you by my side"

"It doesn't matter what I felt" I say turning in his arms only to find his warm brown eyes looking deep into mine "what will it take for you to give up?" I ask

"You to look me in the eyes and say you don't want me too" he says and I immediately look down at the non existent space between our bodies only for him to lift my chin with his finger "why are you fighting this?"

"Because...........because..........." the words stick in throat as I watch his face slowly move closer to mine. Before I can speak further he brushes his lips over mine and then looks at me.

Over come and caught up in the moment I crash my lips on to his tangling my fingers into his hair. I hungrily pull him to me wanting his body as close to mine as possible. His hands roam my body feverishly as he kisses me back with just as much passion.

Before I no it he has moved me and I'm trapped between his body and the wall. His lips leave mine and move to my neck. My eyes close and my chest heaves with each breath as he gentle nibbles at my skin.

My hands slide under his shirt and up over his warm skin feeling every muscle and his heart beating rapidly just like mine.

I feel him start to unbutton my blouse and that's when I panic and with all my might I push him back from me.

"No......no........stop.........stop.........I can't" I say as he looks at me breathless and confused

"I don't understand" he says

"I can't do this.........I can't be with you" I say "I'm sorry I never should have let this happen"

"Are you with some one?" He asks and I shake my head "is it me? Have I done something wrong?"

"No of course not" I say "it's complicated and I wouldnt expect you to understand but please believe me that if things were different...........I just need....."

"Try me" He says "what do you need y/n?"

"I need to be safe and I can't be safe if im with you" I say

"Y/n is someone after you?" He asks "has some one threatened you?"

"Not exactly" I sigh "my ex.........he's in jail for what he did to me but he swore he would have his revenge when he caught out..........he's out in a week.........if I get involved with you it will make it easier for him to find me. That's why I chose this job instead of being a wrestler like I wanted.........so he couldn't find me"

"Y/N listen to me.........we don't have to make this public, we can keep it private" he says rubbing my arms "don't let him stop you from being happy"

"What if he finds me...........I wouldn't want you to be dragged into my mess" I say cupping his cheek

"What if want to be? What if im willing to take that risk?" He asks "what if I want to be the one to keep you safe?"

"Can you though?" I ask looking deep into his eyes

"Yes.......if you'll let me" he says "be mine and I swear he will never get near you. Be mine and I promise I will keep you safe"

Taking his face in my hands I look deep into his eyes and run my thumbs over his cheeks. I could hardly believe that he was willing to take such a risk for me, to protect me.

He leans down and kisses me but this time he kisses me softly almost lovingly taking me by suprise. I kiss him back and he wraps his arms around me tightly as though he never wants to let me go.

I couldn't deny how safe he made me feel but I was acutely aware that is anything about us got out he would find me in no time and there was no telling what he would to me or anyone that stood in his way.

"You never answered me" he says softly his lips leaving mine "what do you say y/n? Will you be mine?"

"Yes" I smile "but you are taking a huge risk"

"You are more than worth it" he smiles "I'm going to keep you safe y/n, he will have to go through me to get to you"
