Lotus Jones

I walked out the house and began walking down the pathway, I was use to walking to school now. I knew the way like the back of my hand. Mrs.Lee has been teaching me how to drive like she promised, a few more lessons and I'll be able to take a drivers test.

"Yo, doofus."

I looked over my shoulder to see Ingrid and Won-Yung.

"Are you coming?" He asked.

I smiled before I walked to the car. I heard Ingrid scoff as I opened the back seat. No trash bags...we were getting somewhere, I closed the door and put my seat belt on.

Won-Yung looked at me through the rear view and I swear I saw him smile! I swear no one will believe me, he pulled off.

"You have a meet today?" Won-Yung asked.

"No I just like wearing this huge ass track suit." I said sarcastically.

He chuckled.

"My mom's coming, she bought a whole camera." He said.

I smiled and nodded, we pulled into the parking lot and before he could even kill the engine Ingrid hopped out. I got out and grabbed my backpack before I noticed she was standing next to a car. Waiting...like a lap dog, it was honestly pathetic.

I walked ahead of them before pulling out my phone.

"LOTUS!"

I huffed before I turned around to see Kang. He was in the same track suit as me, He jogged to me before I continued walking.

"Here." He said handing me a silver package.

"What is this?" I asked.

"A protein bar, eat it a few hours before the meet. I learned the hard way it's bad to run on an empty stomach." He said.

"Put it in my backpack." I said handing it to him.

I stopped before he placed the bar in my backpack.

"Thanks, see you in class." I said.

He nodded before I continued my walk.

"Li." I said.

I jogged across the pavement before I reached Lilac who was walking toward the entrance.

"Hey girl, my mom said when are you coming back over?" She asked as we walked in together.

"Probably this weekend if that's cool? Her food was good last time I went." I said.

She chuckled.

"Ok, deal. I noticed you rode with Won-Yung?" She asked.

I looked over my shoulder to see Won-Yung, Ingrid and Kang walking into the school.

"We're good. I wouldn't say friends but tolerating each other." I shrugged.

"Well good, I know a few aunts back home who could put the voodoo on their asses. Just say the word." She said.
