I  yawned as I walked out of my room,  it was Juneteenth and damn I would kill to be in America right now. I walked down stairs and was making my way to the kitchen when I heard a knock on the door. I huffed before turning on my heels, I opened the door and smiled.

"Kang, what are you doing here?" I asked stepping aside.

He chuckled as he walked into the house.

"Well I got you something." He said as I closed the door.

"What is it?" I asked.

He smiled before pulling out a duffle bag.

"I know you mentioned Juneteenth so I ordered you a duffle bag with the colors." He said.

I smiled.

"Oh my god." I said.

"Open it." He chuckled.

I sat the bag on the dining table before I unzipped. I pulled out multiple bonnets and hair utensils, I laughed as I pulled out a MuMu.

"I also remember you mentioning these, I hope this is what you were talking about." He said scratching his head.

I smiled before I embraced him in a hug. He hugged me tight before I released him.

"This is...this is perfect Kang. Thank you." I said.

He smiled and pat my head.

"What's this?" He asked picking up a box.

I scratched my head and shrugged.

"Don't know, haven't opened it." I said.

"Want to?" He asked.

"No." I said.

He looked at me for a second before fiddling with the box.

"It's him isn't it?" He asked.

I swallowed the lump that formed in my throat and nodded.

"How long has he been sitting here?" He asked.

"Since the Championship meet." I said.

He licked his lips earning a glare from eyes. I looked at him before he picked up the box.

"Let's go." He said.

"Wait, put that down. Where are we going?" I asked.

"You're going to face it, come on...we can open it together." He said.

I shook my head.

"I don't want to." I said.

He placed the box down and placed his hand on my shoulder.

"I know I never got to meet your dad, but he'll probably be pissed to know that you left him on this table for 18 days." He said.
