Light filters softly through the heavy curtains as you force your eyes open. When your vision finally clears, you take in your surroundings. The room is vast and opulent, filled with furniture fit for royalty. Elegant red drapes frame the tall windows, while cream ornate wallpaper lines the walls. The bed you're lying in is nothing short of magnificent—silken white sheets and feather-stuffed pillows so soft that it feels like you're resting on a cloud. For a moment, you almost forget the confusion swirling in your mind.

Pushing yourself upright, you swing your legs off the edge of the bed. The cold tiles beneath your bare feet send a shiver through your body, the sensation startling after the warmth of the bed. You pause, taking a deep breath as you try to piece together how you got here, but your memory betrays you. Everything is a blur.

Your attention is drawn to an ornate mirror in the corner of the room. Rising cautiously, you walk toward it. The figure staring back at you is familiar—you recognize yourself—but everything else feels foreign. The simple, flowing nightgown you wear is unfamiliar, its soft lavender scent calming despite the disarray of your thoughts. The gown is plain but elegant, its laced straps resting lightly on your shoulders.

Feeling a sense of urgency, you decide to look around, hoping to find someone who can explain where you are and what's happening. You approach the large, intricately carved door and pull it open, the heavy hinges letting out a loud creak. Beyond it stretches a long corridor bathed in dim light. The muffled sounds of voices reach your ears, distant and indiscernible.

As you walk cautiously through the hallway, you can't help but admire the grandeur around you. Every detail is deliberate, from the polished tile floors to the extravagant paintings hanging on the walls. Portraits of noble figures, intricate floral arrangements, and gilded vases line your path. It's like stepping into a world you've only read about in stories—a castle belonging to a king. Despite the unease in your chest, you can't deny the beauty of it all.

You turn a corner, the cold tiles beneath your feet replaced by the warmth of golden light streaming through a row of tall windows. The corridor stretches before you, bathed in the soft glow of the morning sun. Your heart skips a beat as your eyes land on a figure looking out of the window. Him.

Levi.

Dressed in a green military trench coat, his hands rest in his pockets as he gazes out, lost in thought. The golden light kisses his pale features, illuminating him like something out of a dream. His sharp profile softens in the glow, every detail etched into your memory as though you've been waiting an eternity to see him again.

Movement catches his eye, and he turns his head. The moment his gaze locks with yours, he freezes. His expression falters—wide eyes filled with disbelief and something deeper. His lips part, but no words escape.

He doesn't hesitate.

Levi starts toward you, his steps quick but uncertain, as though afraid this is an illusion. But you can't wait for him to reach you. Tears brim in your eyes, a smile breaking across your face as relief floods your chest. You don't hold back.

You run.

The distance between you vanishes in an instant, and he opens his arms, catching you as you leap into him. His embrace is firm, unyielding, as if he's terrified you'll slip away if he lets go. You wrap your arms around him, burying your face in the crook of his neck. Hot tears spill down your cheeks, soaking into the rough fabric of his jacket, but Levi doesn't care.

His arms encircle you—one around your waist, the other pressing gently against the back of your head. He holds you tightly, his grip unrelenting, as if trying to merge the space between you completely. His heartbeat thuds against your chest, a steady rhythm that matches your own.
