*Levi's POV*

Months have passed since that fateful day in Shiganshina.

The Scouts paid a devastating price-most of their comrades lost, including the man who once led them all. Yet despite the heavy hearts, they succeeded. Shiganshina was reclaimed. And within the ruins of Eren's childhood home, they uncovered the truth long hidden in his basement.

Secrets of another world.

Not just another land-multiple nations, entire civilizations beyond their shores. Everything they thought they knew was only a speck in a much larger picture. A world they never even imagined. But with that revelation came a new kind of fear: they weren't just fighting titans anymore.

They were now part of something far more dangerous.

A war they didn't know they'd been drafted into from birth.

Only one of them truly understood the weight of it.
Eren.

The day he was celebrated for their victory in Shiganshina, when he placed a kiss on Queen Historia's hand... that was the day it changed.

Something in him shifted.

He knew who the real enemy was now.
And something in his eyes-once filled with hatred and fire-began to change too.

Now, as the Scouts ride beyond Wall Maria for the first time, into lands untouched by their people, they chase one thing: answers.

The titans are nearly extinct. Their numbers have dwindled to the point of rarity. But now that they know what titans really are-humans, transformed and trapped-killing them no longer feels righteous. It feels wrong. Especially to Eren.

The rage that once fueled him has softened into guilt. Pity. Remorse.

As they pass through a quiet field, they come across one-just one-titan. Massive, unmoving. It lies slumped against the earth, even as the sun beats down from overhead. Its eyes are blank. It breathes, but it isn't alive. A long trench behind it shows how far it had dragged itself, as if chasing something... or escaping.

It's given up. And that says everything.

Titans aren't in control of themselves. They act on impulse, on hunger. But this one... this one stopped.

Eren steps down from his horse. Slowly, he walks to the creature. And without a word, he places his hand gently on its head.

No one speaks. No one dares to ask what he's thinking.

But in that small gesture, there is understanding.

A quiet apology.

A silent promise that he sees the man within the monster.

---

A lot has changed over the past few months. Paradis has made progress-technology advancing, cities rebuilding, humanity beginning to flourish again.

But for those who survived Shiganshina, that day still lingers like a scar that never fully heals.

Especially for Levi.

He didn't just lose comrades that day-he lost his friend, his commander... and most painfully, you.

After people began returning to Shiganshina-rebuilding homes, restoring roads, and breathing life back into the ruins-Queen Historia organized a grand memorial ceremony to honor those who had fallen during the battle. It was the greatest loss the Scout Regiment had ever endured, claiming the lives of countless soldiers, including their revered commander. The people of Paradis gathered in the heart of Shiganshina-families, friends, and comrades-standing shoulder to shoulder in mourning.
