Jetta and her sister-in-law, Amani Burke sat in the patio of the house Jetta and her husband, Trey Burke lived in together.

Recently, she had found out that she was currently two months pregnant with Trey's child. Jetta was absolutely terrified of being pregnant because she didn't think they were ready to have a child. They were only 22 and haven't even been married a year. Were they really ready to become parents?

"You gonna tell him, Jay?" Amani asked, leaning back in the patio chair.

Jetta couldn't help but shrug, "I mean I can't exactly hide this from him forever. I'm slowly starting to show, and Trey deserves to know.. it is his child y'know?" She said, earning a nod from Amani.

"Well, if you're gonna tell him, I've got the perfect idea in how you could announce the news to him. Since Father's Day is coming up, throw little hints at him before sitting him down and handing him something that says, 'You're going to be a daddy'" She explained.

Jetta had to admit, it was a pretty good idea. "I might just do that, thanks sissy," She smiled, before hugging her sister in law.

The night before Father's Day, Jetta stopped by Carter's at the mall and bought a white unisex onesie and decided to write the words "You're gonna be a daddy" on it. She was actually very excited to tell Trey about her pregnancy. Finally, Father's day arrived and since Trey had practice early in the morning, once he came home; his "scavenger hunt" began.

"Babe! What's all this about?" Trey called out from the living room, before he walked into the shared bedroom.

"Surprise!" Jetta said, handing him the bag. She couldn't help but notice the confused expression on his face. Boy was he in for a surprise...

Trey looked into the bag, and took the onesie out; this time even more confused. "You're.... going to be a daddy." He read aloud, before he realized what he just read. Reality hit him; he was going to be a dad. "A-Are you serious, Jay?" He said, earning a nod from his wife.

She was smiling but it faded once she realized that he wasn't smiling back. "You're not happy?" She asked, and he didn't even respond to her. He just put the onesie back into the bag and walked out of the room, into his car and left.

Jetta stood alone in the bedroom, feeling completely heartbroken. Maybe he really didn't want this child. Maybe he doesn't even want to be with her anymore. The thoughts took over her head and she went to bed, wanting to forget what had just happened.

"Trey what's so bad about it?" Trey's teammate, Dante Exum asked once he shared the news with him.

Trey messed with his fingers before he looked up at his friend, who was sitting across the table from him. "It's nothing bad, man. I'm just scared about this. Jay and I haven't even been married for a whole year yet and she's already pregnant. I don't even know if I'm ready to be a dad yet..."

Dante gave him a look, "Well that's what you get for not being able to keep it in your pants." He joked before becoming serious again, "Look at it this way, you love Jetta and she loves you. Sure, you're young but you're still gonna be there for your kid. It's not the end of the world for having a kid at 22, hell there's people in this country having children before they're even 18. I'm sure you guys will be fine."

Trey thought about what he was just told before he nodded; Dante was right. "Well, I better go talk to her... pretty sure she left my dumbass by now but I gotta go, thanks man." He said, before getting up and heading home.

Driving home, he continued to think about Dante's words, he was right. Jetta was amazing with children, she absolutely loved babies and whenever she was asked to babysit her nieces or nephews, she was more than happy to. If she was that good with her nieces and nephews, she was bound to be even better with her own child.

"Jay?" He called out, as he walked into the house. It was extremely quiet. Maybe Jetta did leave him. Or maybe she was just sleeping.

He walked up to their bedroom, and he let out a sigh of relief when he saw Jetta in their bed, watching Orange Is The New Black on TV. "Jay... can I talk to you?" He quietly asked, sitting down next to her on the bed.

No answer. He sighed before he continued to speak anyway, "I know the way I reacted earlier was such a douche move. But I was shocked, okay? I was just nervous to think about being a dad... I didn't think we were ready to take such a big step in our lives."

Jetta finally looked at him, "How do you think I feel, Trey? I'm the one carrying another life inside of me, and I'm the one who's going to have to push it out of me in nine months. Trey I am terrified of this. But I still took it better than you did!" She said, and Trey didn't even try to say anything back because he knew she was right.

"I'm sorry, okay? But I talked to Dante, and he made me think about the situation better. I realized that you and I are ready to be parents. You're amazing with your nephews, you'd be even better with our own son or daughter. I love you, and you telling me that I was going to become a father was the best Father's Day present ever," He said, smiling slightly.

"Do you really mean that?" Jetta asked, before he nodded. She couldn't help but smile, she was happy Trey decided to step up as a father. She just knew that he was going to be an amazing father for their child. And now, she couldn't wait to meet the newest addition to their little family.
