"I have nothing to wear!" Aria whined as she looked through her entire closet. She was trying to prepare for her date with DeAndre Jordan, and she was struggling to find the perfect outside.
She had met DeAndre a long time ago since she was the daughter of Doc Rivers and the sister of Austin Rivers. Doc had always warned her not to get together with the players on his team; but hey, you're only young once right? She eventually got her father to approve of going out with Deandre, and she couldn't be happier.
"Nothing to wear? Aria you've got the biggest closet in the house!" Her sister, Callie said sitting on Aria's bed. Aria had asked her sister to help out, but it was impossible for her to decide on just one outfit.
"Okay, then what about this?" Aria said, holding up a beautiful black short dress.
"That's hot," She chuckled, "But seriously you're gonna look fine in anything, Ari. DJ isn't the type of guy who only cares about what a girl wears. C'mon you know him better than that."
Aria sighed, before nodding knowing that her sister was right. "Well, in that case.. I guess I'll wear this then." She said before quickly changing and fixing her hair.
Once she was ready, she and Callie waited downstairs for DeAndre to arrive. When he got there, Callie was the one to answer the door.
"Alright, listen here DeAndre, you better treat my sister right on this date. Got it? Or else you will never hear the end of this from me... and you most likely won't even be a Clipper anymore." Callie threatened him, her being way too overprotective of her other sister.
"Uh, yeah I got it." DeAndre said, clearly scared of the 5'10 girl and not wanting to be on her bad side.
Aria playfully hit Callie on the shoulder, "Sorry about her. Callie don't you have a volleyball practice to get to?" She said, trying to get rid of her sister.
Callie got the message before nodding, "Oh yeah... I better get going. But like I said, watch your back, Jordan!" She said, pushing past him and leaving to her practice.
Aria felt completely embarassed because of her sister and DeAndre could tell. "Well, isn't she just lovely?" He said with sarcasm in his voice.
She couldn't help but laugh, and the two headed to the restaurant. "DeAndre, this place is absolutely beautiful..." She said, admiring the place once they got there.
"Well, a beautiful lady deserves to be in a beautiful place," He answered, his corny side came on, but Aria seemed to really love that side of him.
"You're seriously such a corny ass person, I swear." She giggled.
"Aye, but you sure do love it, don't you?" He answered, with a wink and noticing a blush creep onto Aria's cheeks.
For the rest of the night, the two hit it off. They would make conversation out of anything; whether it be basketball or how Aria's career was going as a sports commentator. The two seemed to have alot in common, Aria even began to think that he was definately someone she needed in her life.
"You know... uh, you and I have been talking for a long time and y'know I'm really into you. I wanted to know if you'd wanna become my girlfriend?" He spoke up during the dinner, and Ari could just tell he was kind of nervous.
Aria of course said, "yes" because well, what's not to love about DeAndre? He was absolutely handsome, he was funny, and he was nothing but a complete sweetheart.
"So, if I asked you on your opinion of how you thought tonight went... what would you say?" DeAndre said, once their date was over and they were currently on the way back to Aria's house.
Aria couldn't help but smile, "Well, DJ... I actually had alot of fun tonight..." She answered truthfully.
"Well, what do you say to another date then, baby?" He asked, and she blushed again at the nickname.
"I don't know... I'm gonna have to ask my sister Callie if she'd let me," She jokingly answered before actually answering with a "I say yes."
Aria invited him into the house, and just to his luck... Callie was already back from her practice. "How'd it go? Was he nice to you? Do I have to kick his ass? Was he a gentlemen?" She began to play 20 questions with Aria.
"It went great. Yes. No and Yes." Aria said, answering all the questions. "He was an absolute sweetheart... and he's an amazing boyfriend." She smiled, and her new boyfriend smiled back at her.
"I guess First Time's A Charm, huh?" He smiled.
Once everyone in the Rivers household found out about DeAndre and Aria, they began to play 20 questions with the new couple.
They were in for quite a long night.
