"Auntie, what are we doing here?" Melodie, the three year old niece of Kaitessa asked as she carried her into the FedEx Forum. Her sister asked her to babysit that night and she was all for it since she absolutely loved babysitting Melodie. The good thing about Melodie was that she herself loved basketball after being tought by her auntie of course.

"We're here to watch a Grizzlies game, baby," Kaitessa answered, smiling at the toddler as she headed for their seats.

The toddler squealed, jumping up and down since this was her first Grizzlies game. She was with her Auntie, the two of them wearing matching Mike Conley jerseys. People even assumed that Melodie was actually her daughter instead of her niece.

The game was set to be against the Phoenix Suns, with the Grizzlies easily winning 102 to 91. Everyone piled out of the arena, except for Kaitessa and Melodie. She thought that it'd be totally fine to put Melodie down for a little bit but that ended up with the toddler wandering around the arena. "Melodie?!" She called out, not being able to find her niece and she began to feel scared. How was she going to tell her sister that she lost her niece at a basketball game? She walked everywhere around the arena until she heard the familiar giggles of her niece. She felt relieved once she finally found Melodie but that was cut short when she ran into what seemed to be an empty locker room... Kaitessa followed her into the locker room, only to find out that it was definately not empty.

She screamed once she saw 14 men nearly naked, causing them to scream as well. "What's she doing in here?" They all yelled and she shielded her eyes, slowly walking out of the room but not before running into another figure. Thankfully this one was fully clothed. In his arms was Melodie, smiling at her aunt. "Auntie!" She said, reaching out to her.

"She your niece?" The man spoke as he handed the toddler to Kaitessa and he earned a nod from her.

"Y-Yeah, I'm so sorry. She wandered in here and I followed her in here only to see that you guys weren't even clothed and wow, I'm just so sorry." Kaitessa explained, rambling on and on but stopped once she heard the man chuckling. She looked up to see the man clearly, only to realize that she just bumped into Mike Conley Jr, point guard of the Memphis Grizzlies.

"Don't worry about it, ma. Just as long as your little niece if safe," He smiled before he noticed the jerseys that two had on, "You guys are fans of me, huh?" He asked, noticing the blush that crept onto her cheeks.

"Yeah..." She answered with honesty, still not believing that she was having a conversation with Mike Conley.

"Well beautiful lady, I'm Mike... and you are?" He spoke after a while, sticking his hand out.

"Kaitessa, my name is Kaitessa," She said, shaking his hand and offering him a smile. "Oh! And this right here is Melodie," She added, the toddler smiling up at the man.

"Kaitessa... that's a really pretty name, and so is Melodie. Well, since you guys are here already, how about I show you guys around?" He offered, clearly wanting to get to know the beautiful woman.

She gladly took him up on his offer, and the three walked around the FedEx Forum, making small talk and Melodie asking Mike non-stop questions about how it felt to be a basketball player and anything a toddler would ask. You could say that Kaitessa and Mike were hitting it off. Mike found an interest in her, and he wasn't much in the dating business but he decided maybe she could change his point of view when it came to relationships.

As the "tour" came to an end, Mike decided to just seize the moment and straight up ask her. "Kaitessa," He started to speak, clearing his throat. "Listen, I don't wanna seem weird or anything but... look, I think you're really beautiful and an enjoyable person to be around. But, I'd like to get to know you better. Would you like to maybe join me on a date this weekend since we're playing another home game soon?" He asked, clearly nervous since he didn't do that much often.

Kaitessa smiled up at him, "Just let me know the information, and I'll see you next week then, Mr. Conley." She said, trying to keep her cool since she was just asked out by her basketball crush.

Mike smiled back at her, before the two switched numbers and made the plans for their upcoming date. Heading home, Melodie couldn't help but ask her aunt about Mike and their date. "Well, babygirl... I guess you could say I got lucky with you walking into that locker room." She answered after Melodie asked how that even happened.
