Every girl's dream is to have the wedding of their dreams, whether it be in a beach or in a different country. But for Amoni, her dream wedding was imagined in Disney World.
She grew up loving the place and it became very special to her, and when her boyfriend of four years proposed.. she immidiately knew where it was that she could have their wedding.
Her fiancé, was none other than Devin Booker, player of the Phoenix Suns. The two had met back in high school and thankfully the two had gotten into the same college, both of them playing basketball.
Now, it was finally her big day. The whole place was rented out just for the couple and their guests. The exact location was outside of Cinderella's castle. This was Devin's idea because he wanted Amoni to feel like the princess she already was.
Her stylists were doing everything possible to have her ready.. her dress was already on. Her dress was very similar to Cinderella's, again another idea of Devin and of course she went along with it because after all, Cinderella was her favorite princess.
"You look beautiful, Amoni!" Devin's mother Veronica gasped as she entered the room to check up on her future daughter in law. "Oh my goodness, if only Devin saw you right now, darling. He'd be amazed!" She chuckled.
Amoni smiled at Veronica, on the verge of crying due to all the emotions getting to her. "Thank you, you as well look stunning,"
Veronica shook her head, walking over to her and taking her hands in hers, "Oh, no don't worry about me. Today is all about you, honey. I'm so happy for you and Devin, I know he picked a good one. Now, I'll see you out there, okay? Congratulations," She smiled once more before leaving Amoni to finish getting ready.
She was then taken by her sister who was also a makeup artist and had her makeup done and hair styled. Soon enough, the wedding was underway. Amoni's father linked his arm around his daughter, tears in his eyes as he saw his little girl now as a woman.. about to become a married woman.
"You're not a little girl anymore, my babygirl is all grown up," He wiped away a few tears, Amoni trying to contain herself. "I'm so proud of you," He brought her in for a hug.
"Dad, you're gonna make me cry even more than I already am," She smiled through some tears before she heard the music and her dad walked her down the aisle.
Standing in front of her at the altar was Devin, dressed up like "Prince Charming" and his jaw nearly dropped to the floor once he caught sight of his beautiful soon to be wife. His chest tightened as she got closer to him and there he realized that this was the woman that he is spending the rest of his life with. He sure as hell knew that he wouldn't have it any other way.
When Amoni reached him, her father handed her off to Devin, whispering an "I'm trusting you with my pride and joy, Booker" to Devin before making his way back to his seat.
Devin nodded at him and the ceremony began, the couple tuned out what the priest was saying, deciding to just look and smile at each other until their vows had to be said.
Devin was the one who said his vows first, "Four years ago, I didn't think that an awkward handshake would lead us to date for four years and now have us standing at an altar, ready to become a married couple. I love you with everything I have and you're my other half. There is not a day that goes by that I don't thank God for putting such a blessing like you in my life. I love you Amoni, and I wouldn't chose anyone else to spend the rest of my life with," He smiled, before sliding the ring onto her finger.
This time, Amoni didn't hold any tears back and then said her vows and placed his ring on his finger. "Now is there anyone that believes that these two should not get married?" The priest asked, the room being dead silent. "I now pronounce you husband and wife, your may kiss the bride,"
Devin wasted no time in kissing his now wife, the guests all cheering and whistling. Within minutes, the fireworks of the castle went off behind them. It was certainly such a beautiful view.
"Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to present to you... Mr. and Mrs. Devin Armani Booker!"
