For DeAndre Jordan, having a child was something he's always wanted. So when his wife Judith told him they were going to be parents, he was over the moon. He wanted nothing more than to be a father and now he was finally going to be one.

The next day at practice, he was on his A game. The rest of the guys noticed what a big smile he had on his face. It was a normal thing to always see DeAndre so happy but today it was as if he was even more happy than usual.

"DJ, what's up? You're lookin' like those smiley faced balloons." Chris Paul finally asked him with Blake Griffin and Austin Rivers walking
up to DeAndre as well.

He just shrugged, "I'm always happy." He simply said, before practicing his dunks.

"Except this time, you're happier than a four year old kid on Christmas Day," Blake added, Austin and Chris nodding in agreement.

He turned to face the three men, "Well if you're that interested to find out why I'm so happy... I'm gonna be a father," He finally admitted, before he smiled yet again.

"Yo, congrats man!" Austin said, "bro-hugging" him before the rest of the team found out about the news and congratulated him.

He was so looking forward to being a dad and he was actually really looking forward to the 9 months that were coming up. He believed that every month would have something special involving the baby.

It wasn't until the fourth month that something real special happened, the happy couple found out the gender of their baby. They were expecting a baby girl. DeAndre was ecstatic, now he was going to have a daughter to spoil and threaten other boys to stay away from his baby girl. Once they found out about the gender, the two immidiately went to look for a name for their daughter. They had finally found the perfect name for their princess, Alaïa Rose Jordan {A/N; once again I'm sorry if you don't like the name... it was just something that popped up in my mind but I do find the first name quite unique and pretty. 😁}.

For the next five months, Alaïa kept growing in Judith and finally nearing the end, she couldn't wait to get this baby out and into the world. The day had finally come, DeAndre had to leave practice early because he was told that his wife was going into labor. He of course rushed to get to the hospital since he wanted to be there for his wife and his daughter.

After nearly 14 hours of labor, Judith gave one more push and the hospital room was full of crying. Their daughter was finally here. DeAndre cried once he saw the baby. She was absolutely perfect and he already loved her more than anything. The doctors cleaned up the baby and wrapped her up before they finally handed her to Judith.

DeAndre sat by his wife's side, admiring the baby in her arms. "Hey princess," She cooed at the tiny infant, who moved once she heard her mother's voice.

"She is absolutely precious..." He whispered, still trying to process that he was now a father and he and his wife had a family.

"Do you wanna hold her, babe?" Judith asked, looking at her husband.

He nodded, taking the baby into his arms, making sure he was holding her properly and that her head was elevated. "Hey there, baby girl. I'm your daddy and I'm pretty sure you've got me wrapped around your tiny little finger because you are just too dang precious." He spoke to his daughter, smiling down at her. "I love you, Alaïa." He said, before kissing her forehead.

"I'm sure she loves you too," Judith smiled, feeling nothing but love for both her husband and newborn daughter.

"And of course I love you, babe." He said once more, this time kissing his wife.
