What's better than having your boyfriend by your side after a tough day ?
---------------------
Daisuke searched in the closet for a clean shirt. All the others were dirty, which meant doing laundry soon, but it'll be for later. He clearly didn't have the energy to do that and all he was interested in now was to sit back and do nothing. He found a black short-sleeved shirt that he put on and went to lie on the bed.
He stared at the ceiling absently and suddenly felt something pulling his hand. Daisuke turned to the side and saw Sunny on the edge of the mattress, grabbing him. He kept him from falling and distractedly stroke him, before the smallfry snuggled up against him.
Today was... Quite a rough day. The blackbelly skatepark was closed for renovations, meaning that Daisuke unfortunately couldn't go skateboarding. He worked all afternoon at the bubble tea shop and although he usually liked it, a lot of annoying customers passed by and he HATED dealing with this kind of person. And he also fought with Jihoon. Again.
So yeah, Daisuke wasn't in a good mood and tiredness wasn't helping at all. What could he do to cheer him up ? Maybe a game ? He wanted to finish Sonic and the Seven Rings but it was so harsh to play it that it would most likely drive him crazy more than anything else.
He was thinking of other options when the bathroom door opened and Ray came out, wearing a shirt similar to Daisuke's and a towel on his shoulders. Water was still dripping from his pink hair, and a few drops fell on the bed when he sat on it. Daisuke straightened up and approached Ray from behind, taking the towel to wipe his hair.
"You're gonna get water all over the blankets idiot. And I'm not sleeping on the couch tonight even if it's with you."
"That'd be a shame indeed." Ray chuckled lightly.
Daisuke gave him a gentle headbutt in return while putting the towel away and ran his fingers through his untied cornrows. He untangled his tentacles while being careful to not hurt him, and Ray relaxed thanks to the gentle gesture.
"Anyways, how was your day ?" He wondered, eager to talk a little.
"Ugh, don't really wanna talk about it." Daisuke frowned.
"You sure ?"
"Yeah, I'd prefer hearing from you. If you don't mind of course."
"No worries, I understand."
"Cool, what about yours then ?"
"Not really good either..." Ray sighed, scratching the back of his neck. "Couldn't manage to make Anna and Jamal talk, loss streak in ranked, and anxiety attack. Twice."
"Again ?"
Ray nodded as Daisuke paused, playing with his hair, and he stopped doing so. "Do you have any idea why that happened ?" He asked, continuing his task.
"Probably due to the stress generated by the games mixed with the incessant and exasperating drama of the forbidden lovers." Ray shrugged. "I guess I didn't know what to do anymore so I just ran off when I felt the first one coming, then I panicked about what they thought of my reaction, hence the second."
Daisuke thought for a second about what he said and took a clip on the nightstand before continuing : "You should tell them about your anxiety, I'm sure they'd understand."
"I don't know..." Ray hesitated. "It's not that easy."
"But I know it and it doesn't change the way I feel about you. So why would it be different ?"
"You're the only one that's aware of it because I literally had an attack in front of you. It's not the same." His ears flopped, saddened.
"Whatever, it's your choice after all." Daisuke rolled his eyes, mumbling. "But those episodes seem to happen to you more and more often lately."
