When a vampire is unwillingly getting out of control, his boyfriend is here to help and reassure him.

"Manta ? You're in there ?"
Daisuke gently knocked on the bathroom door, waiting for an answer that wasn't coming. It was the middle of the night, yet he woke up to find the other half of the bed empty, showing Ray's odd absence. Concerned by that, Daisuke went to look for him in the apartment, but there was no sign of Ray.
It was until he noticed strange glowing traces starting from their shared room and leading to the one he was facing. They looked like small drops of blue ink and it worried Daisuke even more, knowing that Ray's was shining in the dark thanks to bioluminescence due to being a vampire squid.
With the urge of needing to know if his boyfriend was okay, Daisuke immediately headed to the bathroom, having an idea of what could have happened to him. But now that he was standing there, with no response from Ray, he was more afraid of rushing him than anything else. And that was all he didn't want to do.
Though, if he was right about his suspicion, Daisuke better check on Ray anyway since he was the only one able to help and take care of him in this situation, to make sure he was fine. So he put a hand on the handle, ready to see what he was about to discover on the other side, still hoping it wasn't worse than what he was thinking.
"I'm coming in." He softly whispered.
Daisuke lowered the handle, opened the door, and stepped inside. At first sight, everything seemed normal, but the same glowing ink was witnessing otherwise. Following it, he took a few steps and heard fainted sobbing that made worry run through his veins, to finally meet Ray, sitting on the floor in a very corner of the room.
Ray was all curled up, knees folded against his chest and hands on his head, covering his ears, crying. Daisuke immediately knew something was off the instant he laid his eyes on him. He seemed scared, in pain, vulnerable.
"Ray..."
The constant and deafening echo in Ray's ears prevented him from barely hearing the sound of his name, but thinking he still recognized his voice calling him, he slowly turned to the side, shaking violently. Daisuke let out a little gasp as his eyes widened by taking a closer look at him.
What should have been just a simple nightmare ended up in Ray having a panic attack that made him lose control over his vampire form. Crushed by the alien and sudden feeling of danger, he met his own reflection transforming into a monster in the mirror. All he could do was watch himself shifting as the incessant ringing filled his mind, powerless.
His ivory horns were now pointed up on his head in the sharp shape of blades, looking like an horrific diadem. His tentacles grew so much bigger and longer they were the length of his upper body, and their color tone turned into a dark midnight blue with deep bloody gradients. A huge pair of bat-looking wings was decorating his back, desperately trying to protect him.
Gills were spreading small bubbles and pulsing oxygen on his neck, arms and torso, changing his limbs into marine entities as scarlet translucent fins wiggled ghostly all over his body. Rocky claws spiked out of his hands, capable of cutting flesh and even bones, detonating with his bright and colorful fingertips.
Huge and razored fangs were shining out of his beak, and their deadly sight made him jump in fright the second he saw them. Finally, his eyes were lost in a jet black ocean, just remaining in cyan dots of his original eye color, the only familiar trait of his normal self in his monstrous appearance.
His perception was obscured by panic, fear and overall desperation. In the lightened glass, he saw everything he was scared of becoming. An out for blood vampire, a savage beast, simply, a monster.
