Kamya's Perspective

I'm making my way back to Orlando, again. Jaz family is hosting a thanksgiving party for everyone and of course we had to go. This time my mom would be joining us, also we are doing the roadtrip idea. Can't do that plane chaos again.

We normally alternate annually between who will throw the thanksgiving party. This year it fell on Jaz's family, last year it was mine. Either way, the parties were always the best.

When I found out about us leaving for Orlando, the first place my mind ran to was Jailanee. It seems like forever since we've been together. We recently would start falling asleep on the phone. At first it wasn't intentional, but it was comforting.

Her presence alone brought the comfort I desperately needed. Whenever she would go to sleep before me, her light snores would calm me.

It reminded me of how amazing it felt to sleep under her. Even though that wasn't intentional either, the fact that it happened was memorable, Jai was very comfortable and warm. I miss her.

"Make sure you got everything. We staying for a week this time," Jazmine expressed. She came into my room double checking my suitcase to make sure I have everything in order. "You sure you brought enough clothes?" She questioned.

I rolled my eyes, I'm not a child. "Yeah Jaz, I got all I need."

"You grabbed your hygiene stuff?"

"Oh, I forgot to grab the pouch out the bathroom. Hold on." I quickly walked to my bathroom grabbing the cheetah print pouch that held my hygiene products.

Jaz shook her head. "Momma waiting for you, hurry up." She rushed me before exiting my room.

I grabbed my suitcase taking it downstairs to see what my mom wanted. "Yes ma?" I asked once I reached the bottom of the steps.

"Didn't I tell you tidy up the kitchen. I don't like leaving the house dirty." She scolded me.

I groaned. I completely forgot. "I'm sorry ma."

"Go help Jaz in the kitchen. Y'all hurry we have to leave soon, I don't want to be on the road while it's dark and it starts getting dark early." She stated.

I noticed Jazmine in the kitchen cleaning up already. "I should beat you up." Jaz glared at me.

"Stopp," I whined. "I completely forgot."

"I told you earlier to make sure you got everything done." Jaz scolded me just like my mother did.

"It slipped my mind."

"I don't want to hear it." She stay acting like somebody momma, leading me to pout.

We cleaned the kitchen in silence. Jaz already washing up the few dishes in the sink while I cleaned up the counters. I waited for Jaz to finish with the dishes to take the trash out. It took us roughly 25 minutes to completely finish.
