Kamya's Perspective
_

My classes would be ending next week and I have been marking the days down. I can't wait to spend time with my baby again, I plan to go visit her once I get break which is next week! I haven't brought it to her attention yet, but I plan on it tonight when we call.

School has been draining me honestly. The work continuously back to back just ugh! Currently I'm in my room study for my upcoming final, I have one final for one class and three signature assignments for my other three.

I'm glad to say I already finished one of my signature assignments yesterday, but my final is due in two days, so I'm trying to study now. In all honesty, I have been sitting at this desk longer than I should've.

The study guide illuminated from my screen as my eyes scanned it. I began getting frustrated due to me continuously getting the problems wrong after working them out. Soon the work just started looking like numbers that were randomly thrown together with no sense.

The dinging of my phone pulled me out of my frustrations. Jai, the person I desperately needed right now was FaceTiming me.

"Hey mama." Her beautiful face took over my phone. "I figured you've been sitting at that desk all day, thought I should be a distraction." She smirked, reading me incredibly well.

I rolled my eyes with a smile plastered on my face. "You don't know nothing."

"Yeah? So what have you been doing?" She questioned. Jai was rolling a blunt, her hand moved with precision as she spoked to me.

"Maybe I been doing work, maybe I haven't. What you been doing?"

She chuckled. "Work. I have a business trip coming up again." Jai finally finished rolling up before lighting the blunt.

"You must be stressed."

"A little. I miss you." Jai confessed, leaving a small warmth shooting through my body from the sound of her.

A smile crept onto my face. "I miss you more. I was just thinking about coming out there next week."

A sad expression washed over Jai's face. "That's when I'm taking my business trip."

My mood flatten at the mention of that. I wanted to spend my break with her, being engulfed in her touch once more. "Oh. No fair." My voice laced with sadness.

"Don't worry baby. I'll make sure we spend some time together. Okay?" She attempted to reassure me. I nodded my head still a little bummed out about the fact I won't be seeing her, but I let her words soothe me.

"How about we focus on something else." Jai suggested. "Sapphire has been doing good lately. Want to see her?" She changed the subject.

My mood lightened to the thought of my cute pet. "Yes please." I smiled.

I could see Jai moving across the room as she made her way to Sapphire. Jai flipped the camera showing me the spider that crawled around in her own home. "She miss you." Jai spoke.
