Present time...
"I hope my bar and van are still intact, Seth. Your 'everything is under control' usually means that everything is not under control" Freen smiles at the laptop display, talking with the guys on Skype.
Due to recent events, Freen rarely contacts them, but tries to keep in touch at least by messages. With all these problems, she didn't even realize how much she missed LA. For the guys and their eternal tricks.
"Believe me, Jess and Archie keep discipline like the Germans" the guy waved his hand, adjusting his glasses on the bridge of his nose.
"Like Germans?" the brunette raises an eyebrow, smiling. "Seriously?"
"Well, I don't know? They even have cultural parties now! Just imagine, without incident!" he exclaims and throws up his hands.
"Wow" the brunette drawls with feigned surprise. "How so? The bar hasn't collapsed yet. Not in order."
"Don't be insolent to me, lady" the guy waves his index finger at the camera, and Freen raises her eyebrows in surprise, and then the guys start laughing.
"Lady?" the girl shows her middle finger to the guy, and they smile at each other.
While Freen, lying on the sofa, was talking with Seth and the back of Jess's head flashing somewhere behind her, Becca, sitting at the bar, was doing her work, listening out of the corner of her ear to the girl's conversation.
Becca sighs, pinching the bridge of her nose because she feels guilty again for taking away from Freen everything that the brunette worked so hard to build. The brown-haired girl reminds herself again of what she wanted to do for Freen and perhaps now is the right time to make it happen.
"We miss you..." Seth exhales, resting his head on his hand.
"I miss you guys too" Freen answers somehow sadly, looking at Seth and Jessica flashing behind him, who is rushing around the entire bar.
There was silence.
"I have to go, Freen" Seth adjusts his glasses again, sighing heavily.
"Go" Freen smiles warmly at the guy, and he smiles back.
"We'll call again. Get in touch more often. We love you" the guy blows a kiss to his friend.
"Necessarily. And I you. Try not to ruin the bar" the brunette laughs.
"It will be difficult, but I'll try" Seth winks and, waving his hand at his friend, hangs up before Freen answers him.
"Asshole," the girl chuckled, and then slammed the lid of the laptop and, putting it on the table, lay down on the sofa.
Becca realizes that the conversation between Freen and the guys is over, and, having finished working on the computer, the girl gets up from the bar stool and heads to the sofa.
"How did it go?" The brown-haired sits down next to Freen, drawing her attention to her.
"Great. They're still alive and it looks like the bar is too, so..." the girl shrugs and smiles, looking at Becca.
Beccs pauses, looking down at her hands and swallows, processing her new question. She frowns, fingering her own fingers, and then returns her gaze to Freen.
"Do you miss them?"
Now Freen frowns, watching the girl. She sees how worried she is about this and rushes to console her, standing up and taking a sitting position, level with Becca.
