Seven years ago. New York...
Having just woken up, Freen opens her eyes and looks at the hanging catcher near the back of the back seat. She looks at it, glances out the window and immediately squints when a ray of sun hits her eyes. The girl covers her eyes with her hand and rolls over onto her back.
Freen still feels a little bit of pain and sadness from the recent memories of the past, and so the morning doesn't seem so great.
After a couple of minutes, she realizes that the van is colder than it seemed at first glance. The girl wraps herself in a blanket up to her chin, but she can't go on like that for long and eventually something needs to be done.
She lets herself lie there for a while longer, lost in thoughts about Becca and last night, where they opened up to each other. It was a kind of painful relief. Freen feels better, she admits it. She feels better knowing that Becca knows.
Reluctantly, but still the girl gets up and begins to get dressed. She folds the laundry and covers it with a blanket to make room. The girl climbs into the back seat and reaches for the panel, taking the phone from there. She plops back down on the seat, opens the search page and begins searching for housing.

Becca, meanwhile, has been awake for a long time. The girl sits in the living room at a table with a laptop, drinking coffee and blindly looking out the window opposite. All night and morning Becca thought about Freen and what she had told her. The memories make her heart ache.
Becca wants to do so many things for Freen so that she feels happy and never experiences such pain again. The brown-haired desperately wants to be next to her and protect her from any pain, and only make her always happy. Freen is such a bright person, and she doesn't deserve what happened to her.
Becca purses her lips and frowns, taking another sip. She remembers Freen's words about her father, and the girl admits that she thought about it no less. Damn, of course she won't forgive her father so quickly, but Freen is right. Damn right. And this makes Becca angrier.
The brown-haired puts thoughts about her father aside, shrugging off the fact that she is not yet ready to think about it. Not now, when her whole head is filled with Freen, and Billy's birthday is tomorrow. Becca exhales irritably through her nostrils and places her cup on the table, slamming the lid of her laptop shut.
The front door opens. Billy has arrived...
Present time...
The girls did not discuss everything that happened last evening. They didn't talk about what Freen should do next, they didn't broach the topic any further. But one thing was clear, the brunette agreed to stay.
But there is one "but", the girl still can't get rid of the fear that Becca might leave her. She believes the brown-haired girl, and yet her inner instinct tells her that she cannot completely give up everything. This means that LA will remain her backup home in case all of Freen's fears come true again.
In three days, including this one, the brunette will return to LA to pick up some things and give Seth and Jessica some advice on running a bar.
For now, the girl tries not to bother her head with all this and just gets up in the morning in the living room and goes downstairs to prepare breakfast. She knows for sure that Becca is still sleeping at her place. Becca has always been a sleepyhead.
