Present time...
Billy was still shocked by what he heard from Naomi. All these years the guy was firmly convinced that his sister did not love him. He blindly believed that she despised him for his sexuality and was ashamed. It seemed to him that the girl did not want to have such a brother and spoil her reputation as a successful businesswoman.
And every time he hoped for a truce with his sister, she responded by pushing him away from her even more, pressing on his weakest points, causing pain to his brother. She saw this as a way to push Billy away from her. And it was carried out. Was too carried away...
"You know you can stay here as long as you want?" Naomi's voice is heard in the living room.
The girl just entered the house from the garden, writing something in a notebook, holding it in her hands and making notes for the upcoming wedding. Having written down another idea, the girl put the notebook and pen on the long mahogany table, and then began to approach her brother, who was standing in the kitchen, leaning his hips on the countertop.
"Yes, I know" he nods, turning his gaze to his approaching sister.
Before Becca and Freen arrive from Los Angeles, the guy thinks he can spend a few days with his sister. Still, her house is great. A huge mansion with a stunning garden, a truly royal interior, as if you were in Queen Elizabeth's room. His sister's fiancé is clearly fabulously wealthy.
"Would you like to take a little walk?" the sister asks the question again.
After yesterday's conversation and the revelation of the truth, Naomi felt better. She finally began to feel close to her brother. She feels like everything is starting to get better and doesn't want to stop there. The girl wants to know more about her brother's life, and considering that Becca is his family, about her too.
But let's admit, despite everything, the girl knows enough about Becca, because it was the brown-haired girl who began making contact with Naomi six years ago. The girls even then began to communicate more warmly, unlike Billy, who did not want to get closer to his sister in any way. Naomi and Becca have already had experience communicating with each other, more than once.
"Of course" the guy smiles and, moving away from the tabletop, began to approach his sister, who was already heading out of the house.
"Let's go."
The guys left the house and, leaving the territory of the mansion, began to head along the path, passing by other areas. All around there were equally large and not so big houses, and the area itself was neat, not crowded, with perfectly trimmed lawns and fences. It was calm here.
"Tell me how you lived all these years?" the girl begins, putting her hands in the pockets of her trouser overalls, looking first at the concrete slabs creating the path, then at her brother. "What happened to you? To Becca?"
Billy let out a quiet sigh. The past is what hurts him, but he understands that his sister is the person who should know. The guy gathers more strength to bring up this topic and remember the past.
"I'm not putting pressure" the elder girl immediately adds, extending her hand in front of her brother, looking at his profile. "If you think it's necessary to tell me something, then I want to know."
"It's okay, Nom" the brunette consoles his sister, turning his gaze to her and smiling weakly, turning his blind gaze in front of him. "To be honest, without Becca I would be lost" he begins "if not worse. You're right. She was and remains the best sister. I can't count how many times I went on a drinking binge, how many times I ended up in a sobering-up station, how many times I got into fights. I was even on drugs, you know?" he smiled with a hint of bitterness, turning a fleeting glance into his sister's sad eyes. "But she was there all the time. She put me in my place from the very moment we met, when I didn't let anyone near me. She quickly set my mind straight" Billy recalls. "She took care of me all the time, pulled me out of various shit, and I swear, I wouldn't have lived without her."
