Present time...

When the girls arrive in New York, they are not surprised to find themselves immediately thrown into the responsibilities of wedding preparations. There is one day left before the ceremony, and now there is a real commotion.

Freen has closed the topic of Becca's secret again, but in her free moments between tasks, she still clings to every thread, trying to understand what could have happened. Freen knows that whatever it is, it is serious, otherwise Becca would never have left her. There must have been some compelling reason, but Freen can't figure it out. Maybe she missed something. Something in the past. Something that she simply did not attach importance to, or, on the contrary... attached a completely different meaning to it...

"Freen, are you okay?" Naomi's voice sounded deafeningly loud in the empty living room of the huge house, and her voice always sounds with perfect tonality and restraint. She and Becca are similar in this. Always incredibly calm. "Becca was looking for you."

Freen smiles confusedly and immediately gets up from the soft sofa, running her palms over her jeans, rubbing them - a sign of nervousness and confusion. She looks into her friend's warm eyes and becomes lighter, because it is impossible to hold back a smile. She sees how Naomi smiles back - she is happy.

"Yeah, I was just thinking a little. It's nothing" she waved her hand. "How are you?" she immediately changes the subject so that Naomi does not have time to latch on to her words and does not start asking questions that Freen does not want to answer at all.

Naomi notices how Freen's mood changes, and, perhaps, partly, she knows why.

"I'm very excited" Turner decides not to interrogate Freen and spoil her and her mood before the wedding, because if she touches on this topic, it will not leave a good aftertaste, definitely. "And I'm so happy," the girl's smile becomes brighter, and Freen can't help but smile even more, looking at her.

She briefly remembers the moments from the past when she saw Naomi at all. What a cold bitch she was, seemingly without any feelings and despising her own brother. Now she looks at the girl in front of her and does not believe at all that they are the same person. Billy said that Naomi was the best sister in the world to him when they were little, but Freen had a hard time believing it when she first saw Turner, but now she understands what Billy was talking about. This girl seems to be from the past. That past, when a hard fate did not cripple her big heart.

"I'm very happy for you. Really," Freen smiles, putting her palm to her chest. "And I'm glad that you and Billy are doing well," she continues, and Naomi listens to her with a smile. "We haven't had time to talk about it, so I wanted to say thank you. Thank you for making Billy even happier. It was hard for him."

"I should have done it much earlier" a crooked smile slips across Naomi's lips, and silence hangs between the girls for a second. They look at each other, and then Naomi looks down for just a moment, and then turns her gaze back to Freen. "Are you and Becca... ahem... planning on?" Turner feels like she's stepping on thin ice, and one more movement, and a block of secrets and mysteries will collapse in an instant.

Freen sincerely doesn't understand what Naomi is talking about. Or pretends not to understand, because she seems to have heard a similar question. In another interpretation, more direct and from Jessica, but she definitely heard.

"Planning on what?" She still asks again, knowing the answer in advance, but what else can she say? Her heart has already started beating twice as fast as normal, saying that for her this is a painful and sensitive topic.
