it had been a few days since zach and estelle reconnected, and a day hasn't gone by where they hadn't at least texted each other to see how their days went or what they were getting up to.
and it was no different for this tuesday. estelle was off to classes as expected, whilst zach was heading over to see his friends and return their house keys before they set off again to hawaii to see his other daughter.
arriving at jack and adalyn's house, he rung the doorbell before letting himself into the house, hearing a groan from the girl the second he entered.
"i told you to tell him not the ring the doorbell," adalyn complained from the living room as she got up, now needing to hear upstairs for their baby they just put down for a nap.
"baby, i was still typing it out," jack replied from where he was stood by the foyer, watching her as she continued over to the stairs. "he'll go back to sleep, please stop stressing."
"hey," zach somewhat awkwardly chimed in with a small chuckle under his breath.
"hey dude," his friend replied as they don't their handshake.
"keys," he simply said while handing him the item. "so has tour made things rocky?"
the elder subtly shook his head, "she needs to sleep. that's what it is. but instead she's refusing to because she needs to get babies back on hawaii timezone and they're more important, and there's a million and one things she 'needs' to get done-"
"don't have kids, got it," zach nodded to himself as he interrupted the other.
"i never said that. i love my babies. jusy maybe don't travel when they're only six months old."
"well that's on yous," he laughed at his friend as he wandered into the living room.
"so how was having that girl over?" jack questioned as he followed the boy over, letting out a chuckle as he said; "ads saw that you had covered the cameras out the back one night," he raised a brow.
"nothing happened," he muttered.
"adalyn's convinced otherwise."
"well nothing happened."
"oh well, you know adalyn's gonna pester you about it when she gets back down here," he laughed while finally sitting down with him. "just a warning."
"oh great," he mumbled under his breath.
"did having her here at least help you make up your mind?" jack questioned.
"yeah."
"jonah and valentina came over yesterday.. she mentioned you going over to theirs after that girl had left, and said she thinks you had wasted her time-"
