"hi," the girl smiled as the late night facetime call was answered.
"hey ess," zach replied with the same expression. "how have you been? how was class and work today? anything interesting?"
"good," she nodded. "..do you want to know what happened at work?"
"yea, tell me."
"some guy was trying to take me out on a date and i said i wasn't interested. then he tipped me forty dollars, thinking i can just be brought or something."
"oh.. and then what did say to him?"
"that.. i'm already seeing someone," she subtly furrowed since saying otherwise wasn't the type of person she is. "and then all his friends laughed at him because he didn't ask before he done all that."
"i think imma need a list of these guys names and photos cause if i run into them there, i'm gonna have a word with them," he defensively replied.
"it's fine, zach," she softly giggled. "that's just the type of guys they are. i went to high school with two of that guy's 'friends' and they've always been like this. they'll find a random guy that's not so out there and talk them in embarrassing girls or themselves, just so they can have a little laugh."
"yeah but you don't deserve that," he shrugged.
"but their tip does cover a one way ticket to you so.. if i have to deal with their stupidity for a couple hours, it's okay."
"so does that mean you'll be book a trip back here soon?" he raised a brow.
"well you've gotta come here first, then we can work out me going to you, okay?"
"fine okay," he playfully sighed. "but i am there next week so we can start planning you coming here. maybe thanksgiving? my friends always do something- that's if you want to be around them, i'd understand if you don't want to."
"um.." she softly hummed as she thought about the dates. "we might have to wait and see about then.. i just.. i might have something on.. that's important for me to go to.."
"actually.. i think jack, adalyn and her friends are back on tour then, so there might not be anything happening," he realised. "but you could always still come here and we can do something with my family, you can meet them officially."
"i'll have to see.."
"alright, but i'd very much like if i could see you that weekend. that also means you can be here longer for once cause you don't have class."
"i know," she smiled. "it's be nice to spend more than just a couple days there with you."
"actually.. i have something of your's here," he said as he got up from his bed, causing her to furrow slightly while he propped his phone up against his computer and show what he had. "so if you want it back, you're gonna need to come here and get it."
