I had woke up to mommas cooking. I walked to the kitchen and saw everyone there talking, Nyla was still sleep tho. i was staring at all the food she was cooking. she had eggs, bacon, grits, pancakes(regular, banana and cinnamon), sausage, hash browns, French toast, butter toast and bagels with cream cheese. "boy a good morning would be nice." mama said pulling me out of my thoughts. "oh yah good morning yall." I said to all of them. chay, mya and Kay walked up to me and hugged me. "what's up beauties." chay and mya was blushing but Kay was looking at me like I was crazy. "my mommy told me that she didn't want me to let any boys try and sweet talk me." she said and I chucked. "yah that's right, never let no little pezzy headed ass boy say no shit like that to u, only me ok." "aye boy watch yo mouth." mama said and I sighed. "ok." I noticed a piece of poet on the counter and grabbed it. "ma what's this?" I said showing it to her. "I don't know boy it was here when I got up and I didn't pay no mind to it." I nodded and started to read.

"Wth." I thought to myself and at the same time Nyla came in the kitchen. "good morning yall." she said with the Hugest smile on her face. "Good morning." we all said back. "momma food smells can't wait to eat." momma smiled. "aw thanks baby." Nyla came and sat down looking at me. "wassup ugly." I frowned. "whatever Nyla, what is this?" I said showing her the paper. She took it out of my hands and then read it. she sighed, "throw this away." she said handing it back to me and walking to the living room. "Foods done." momma yelled and Nyla came back on the phone. We all sat and ate in silence while Nyla sat on the phone. "nah I ain't even trying to go to the club Angie, I'm trying to change as a person and plus I heard Samantha was going to be there and u know me and her got beef." she said on the phone. she paused for a while then spoke again. "alright look ill go but if that chick try some shit it's her ass." I laughed when she said that. "what the hell is funny August?" She said making momma look up. "look I let u slide the first time but watch ur mouth Nyla." momma said strictly. Nyla just sighed. "so u gonna tell me what was funny?" I chuckled. "how u think u gonna fight somebody, that's funny?" She looked dead at me and shook her head. "whatever August u stay trying to put someone down. but umm Angie after the practice today we can go to the mall and August is going to be with us. we both are driving to the practice in my car so he'll just have to come. but look ill see u later, love u ma." she hung up and finished eating. "who said I wanted to go to the mall with yall?" She sighed. "I don't want to be around all of yall chicks. I now how yall be u might have just invited Angie but Angie gonna also invite Jennifer and Gabby. I don't want to be around all those hormones." she laughed. "Jerome, Tyree and Tyler are coming to so relax." I nodded. "y they coming?" "Cuz they want to." I nodded. "ain't Jerome tryna wife u up?" She nearly chocked on her eggs. "um Idek, but I heard he was." I nodded and we both finished our food and washed our dishes. It was 10:30 so we decided to start getting dress. I got dressed in my black and white jersey that had my name on the back, white joggers and my Air Force ones. I walked to the living room watching tv with the girls waiting on Nyla. she came in dressed in black crop top, black skater skirt, and her air Jordan 14 Ferrari's. "damn u lite Nyla come on let's go before we late." she nodded, we said our good byes and left. we got in her car cuz I left my keys in my condo and drove the school. at the practice basically they changed a few things, usually they would have put everybody in alphabetical order but this time they wanna sort everybody by families, like if u have a sibling, cousin, niece, nephew or something like that u sit with them and get called in that order that yalls group comes in. after practicing for about 2 hours we was done. me, Nyla, Angie, Gabby, Jerome, Tyree and Tyler were out side talking for a bit. "yo so we gonna go or whatever?" Tyree said slightly annoyed, we all nodded and got in our cars going to the mall. "so u gonna tell me?" Nyla said but I have no clue what she's talking about. "what u talking about?" She sighed. "I saw u staring at Jenni and her ass but I ain't say no shit." I sighed. "I mean she a nice girl and all and she beautiful but I'm with Tylah." she sighed. "August trust me it's not gonna last as long as u think. I'm not gonna say anything right now but sometime before our birthday ur gonna be single so don't be surprised." I looked at her then sighed. "alright but what's going on between u and Jerome." the second I said his name she had this big smile appear on her face. "nothing." I smirked. "you must have forgotten I know u and I know u feeling him but trying to hide it. I seen when he pulled u to the side to talk, what was yall talking bout?" She glances at me then back at the road. "promise u won't tell anyone." I smiled. "I won't, so wassup." "Well when he pulled me to the side he basically told me bout his feeling and all and that he wanted me to be his girl but it's all up to me." this shit just got interesting. "and what did u say?" She sighed and stopped at the red light. we were close to the mall so she knows she gotta make it quick. she turned to me knowing she had one minute cause during this time of day Atlanta traffic is crazy. "well basically I told him I'm down to start something with him and I'm actually happy to. I just don't want to move to quick like I did with Brandon cause at the same time even though he was a good person he felt like he always needed control for knowing certain things. if i was on the phone while texting him he would want me to hang up and not talk to anyone while with him. even though me and Jerome known each other since 2nd grade it's different now that we want to somewhat start a relationship together." she said in a sigh then turned back to the road cuz the light was soon to turn green and we would be at the mall in 5 mins. "ma just try it out cuz yall actually know each other unlike u and Brandon. plus I actually approve of Jerome unlike pussy lips u was with." she laughed. "boy u crazy but I think that u Should talk to Jenni, don't tell her I told but she used to have a thing for u and she still kind of does." I nodded and took that in. we all arrived and parked our cars near each other. Nyla knew about everyone's feelings in this little group cuz for some reason everyone confides in her and I just don't understand. we all gathered in a group about to walk in but Nyla stopped us all. "Look we all need to stop playing this bullshit and be honest with one another. I know everyone here got feelings for the other so look we going shopping in 2's. Tyree and Gabby, Angie and Tyler, August and Jenni." when she said that she winked at me and Jenni, then went on. "and me and Jerome. now let's get ur asses in this mall. no groups go in the same store just you and ur partner since yall got feelings and mess." We all started to walk on going out separate ways. "so I'm guessing she told u." Jenni said with a smirk. "About?" She giggled. "me having some feelings for u dumbass." I laughed. "I don't know who's meaner u or Nyla." she laughed. "nigga now u know good and well it's her. I'm mean some times on purpose but she's naturally mean, guess it's something she grown into being around all of u dudes all the time." what she just said Is somewhat true. Nyla grew some aggression being around me and my brothers all the time but no one ever noticed how bad it had gotten. "so u going to that party tonight?" She asked with her brows raised. "Yah most likely. Nyla probably gonna drag my ass along so yah." she smiled. "Sounds like Nyla." we were walking to this store called kitson. now I never been up in this piece and it looks like it's a women's store so I'm just gonna follow her around up in this piece. When we got in I seen they had a men's section but that shit ain't my type of stuff. she was picking up my shirts, dresses and joggers then went to the container. the lady behind the desk rung it up. "Now ur total is $347.12" jenni was going in her bag to get her wallet. "ma I'll pay for it." she laughed. "nah I got it." I shook my head. "nah Fr let me pay." she shook her head. "u can't." "why not?" She sighed. "mainly because my dad wouldn't want me to have a dude buying me stuff." "he won't know." she sighed again. "yes he would, he owns this store and he's actually in the back right now watching this so just let me get it." I nodded. "my bad." she smiled and paid for her stuff when a man came and walked up to us. "hey baby girl." he hugged her. "hey daddy." he looked at me with this stank face. "and who is this dude that was try a buy ur stuff?" She sighed. "daddy stop tripping this is my Friend August, Nyla's brother." a smile appeared on his face. "oh ok, so I know his mother. makes it even better so I can be able to find him if he tries some shit." after that the dude walked away. "sorry bout that, my dad be tripping." I sighed. "nah u good ma." we walked out and was going to footlocker. "do u feel the same way I do?" She asked with a slight smile. "yah, I mean u smart, got a great personality and u beautiful." she smiled then I frowned. "but for now we have to be friends cuz I'm somewhat in a relationship but I don't know if it's truely a relationship." "What u mean?" I sighed. "well the girl I'm with something just don't seem right, she barely calls me and when I call she's always busy. at times I fill like she only using me to get back at her sister." "Why would she do that?" I sighed. "cuz my ex is her sister." She laughed. "isn't ur ex Aaliyah?" "Yah." she laughed again. "which sister u dating?" "Tylah." she busted out laughing causing ppl to stare at her. "what's so funny?" After a while she stopped laughing. "I don't know if Nyla told u or not but Tylah is engaged and getting married in July. That whole entire family is crazy, ur lucky if u figure it out early cuz all of them finds ways to trap ppl in there mess." damn, so that's what Nyla was talking about in the car. I can't believe this shit, Tylah bout to be single and not engaged cuz once I'm done with her umma find her fiancé and tell his ass cuz that ain't even cool. "Nyla told me hints that Tylah would be done with me before my birthday so that sounds accurate but fuck her it's whatever. I'm here with u and not her and u just might be my next chick." I put my arm around her waist and was hugging her from behind while she giggled. we went to the rest of the stores we wanted to go to. she was mostly shopping and magically every store we went to her dad popped up but I didn't really care. "you want to go to the food court?" She smiled. "yah lets go fatty auggy." we both laughed walking in that direction.
