Chapter 1

Getting ready to start the day was Never easy. Specially when my bestfriend kept calling my phone to wake me up. My name is Leila. And well I'm a werewolf. Yup that's right, I can shift into a wolf. My wolfs name is Sage. Both of us have a bad tempter but are sweet at heart. Not many people know this but I'm a little more attracted to women then men. Don't get my Wrong, I've dated guys but women is what I'm more interested in. Anyways back to the present. "Yes Mia? Why are you calling at 8 in the morning?" I said over the phone. I can already see her all happy. "Leila! Open the door! I'm outside!" She yelled over the phone. I grunted my way down the stairs to open the door. "Really? This Early dude? Come on I had to work yesterday and we went to the club." I whined walking into the kitchen. I lived alone, most of the time since my mom was always on trips. "Well I'm an early bird plus did you Forget? Today's the Party for 4th of July!" She squealed. She was gorgeous. She was skinny, curly thick black hair. Nice olive skin she was shorter then me but that doesn't mistake that anyone can fuck with her. She was picky on who she hanged out with. Apparently I was different so we became good friends. "No I didn't forget. My wolf is going nuts inside ever since I woke up. I think I need to go for a run." I said pouring a cup of coffee and grabbing a separate cup of orange juice for her. "Really? It must feel great having a wolf." She said quietly, looking down at her cup. She couldn't shift. There was complications when she was born. She had all the senses of a wolf but just couldn't shift. "I-I'm sorry Mia. I should have watched what I said. I'm so careless." I rambled walking towards her, setting the cups down & hugging her. She hugged me back and nodded. "It's ok. You're the only one that treats me like I'm normal. This is Why we're BestFriends dude." She pulled away smiling. "Alright enough with the lovey Dovey crap. Get ready, drink your coffee. We have a Long day before the party!" She jumped up and down smiling again. Yeah it's going to be a long Day. I walked up the stairs with her hot on my trail. Coffee never tasted so good. "How can you drink that?" She asked making a face. I laughed opening the door to my room. My room was the biggest out of the whole house. Had a king size bed by the far side of the wall. Walk in closet and private bathroom. My closet consisted of endless jeans, tshirts, a couple dresses and skirts. I had plenty of shoes from Vans to Jordan's to High heels. Although I barely wore any heels or Jordan's. "Fuck Leila! I wish I could wear your heels. They look so New!" She whined looking at them. "Go For it." I told her walking around her, looking at what to wear. "What are you wearing right now?" She asked still looking at the heels. "This batman shirt and some light skinny jeans with my black vans. Why?" I asked her grabbing my clothes walking to the bathroom. "You're wearing shorts tonight right? Something nice." She asked looking back at me. "Mmm Maybe who knows." I replied closing the door. My bathroom was pretty big. It had a full length mirror with a big bath tub and shower head. I stood In front of the mirror. I was 5'1 with blackish brownish hair. Caramel eyes, although they hid behind my glasses. I was in pretty good shape. My wolf liked to be in shape all the time. I was a little more lighter then Mia and taller. Although she's never admit it. Today didn't feel right. Felt like after today things will change. "Leila! Hurry up in there dude! We have a busy schedule!" Mia hollered from the other side of the door. "Okay okay! Give me 15mins alright?" I yelled back smiling. Whatever happened, happened. Yet again my wolf was restless.
After getting dressed and putting on light makeup we walked out the door. "Which car we taking?" I asked. I wanted to drive today but knowing how Mia was, she'd want to as Well. "Hmm you Drive." She said walking to my 1969 Cobra Mustang. That was my Baby! "Yes!" I jumped running into my car ready to take him for a spin. "Why are you so excited?" She asked me, getting in and buckling up. "Well he's my baby and I wanted to drive him for the Longest. Duh?" I told her pulling out of my drive way. "Where are we headed first?" I asked driving down the street, not exactly knowing where we going. "Mall, I need to pick an outfit & So do You." Mia said looking at her phone. "Alright. So who did you Invite for tonight?" I asked as we drove into the highway to get there faster. "Shyt! I invited a Lot of People! It's going to be Amazing!" She yelled all happy. All I could do was Laugh.
