Chapter 4

The party was in full blown Swing. Music was blaring from everywhere, everyone seemed to be having their time of they lives. We walked in and everyone greeted us. We headed to the back yard to be greeted by Mia's aunt and uncle. "Girls! You finally made it!" Her aunt yelled over the music. "You're embarrassing me Aunt Kathy!" Mia said laughing . We gave them a hug and walked into the backyard. "Lelia! Wona play beer pong?!" Jonathan, one of my good friends, asked. "Yeah I'm down!" I yelled laughing running up to the table.
We kept playing, talking, taking endless shost. By midnight I was buzzed. Mia stayed by my side the entire time laughing, when the same delicious scent hit me, sobering up. "Mate! Must find Mate!" My wolf growled. I scanned the room till I saw her. "Mate" I whispered loud enough for my BestFriend to hear. "What?! Where?!" She replied trying to look at where I was staring. I saw her talking to some guy. I growled loudly. "Mine!" I said stalking towards her but stopped. "What's wrong?" Mia Asked stopping behind me. "She's human." I said smirking. She was breathe taking. Yet dressed as a guy. I knew it was a female by her small body. Her eyes were light caramel, her smile was stunning. She was wearing a cap on but by how little you can tell she kept her hair short. Her laugh was like an angelic melody. She had a tank top on and some skinny jeans on, it looked real good on her. I saw her walking towards the front with some of the guys. I looked at Mia and smirked. "Let's go say hi to my little mate." She nodded eagerly. We cut through the house and went through the front door. I knew she was there because her scent was strong. I opened the door and saw her sitting on the couch they had in front. Everyone here was a werewolf except her. "Lelia! Having a good time?" One of the guys asked. I didn't bother answering, I kept my eyes on her. "What's your name SweetHeart?" I asked trying to keep myself from growling. "Umm I think he asked you a question." She replied. She had a smart mouth. I smirked at her and looked at the guy. "I'm having a great time now." I replied to him. Mia thank god gave them a look. "Guys why don't you help me get some more drinks." She asked giving me a wink and the guys walking behind her. "Now, about that Name?" I asked her towering over her. She looked at me with a smirk her self. Fuck this girl was going to be the Death of me. "River." She simply replied. "What a beautiful name for a beautiful girl." I said to her giving her a smile. She blushed, "Wow how'd you know I was a girl? Many mistake me for a guy." She said. "Mmm well, your incredibly small to be a guy and I have my ways." I told her. She laughed and scooted over. "Have a seat." She told me. I looked at the seat and then at her. "How about I just take a seat on your lap? Or you can sit on my lap." I smirked at her. She blushed and patted her lap. I sat on her and looked at her. She was just gorgeous. Flawless olive skin, soft looking plump lips. Everything I wanted in a mate. I hadn't realized we had leaned closer till someone cleared their throat. My eyes started to turn black, showing my wolf was coming out. I turned to look at Mia's cousin. "Beer?" He asked. "Yeah," I turned to look at my mate "Would you like one?" I asked her. She was blushing again and simply nodded. I looked back and grabbed 2 of them and opened one for her. "So Sweetheart, how do you know Mia's family?" I asked her. Wanting to know more about her. "Umm I worked with her cousin, Jonathan. And he invited me. How about yourself?" She asked taking a sip while looking at me. I had to choose my words wisely, I would eventually tell her everything but for now just keep her on edge. "She's my best friend, we sort of live together you can say." I told her. It seemed like it bothered her, her shoulders got stiff and looked away. I knew the mating bond was building up. I grabbed her chin lightly making her look at me, "I'm a lesbian. And she's straight. Plus I'm more interested in you." I told her, trying to show I was being completely sincere with my words. She loosened up a bit. Her eyes shined a bit showing she was happy with what I told her just a bit. "Oh really? You don't look like you are." She said as her arm snaked around my waist. My shirt had risen up, but when her hand touched my skin, I felt the sparks. I knew she felt them because she pulled back. My wolf instantly missed her touch. "What was that? Did you feel that?" She said holding her hand. "Yeah I felt it, it felt good. You didn't like it?" I asked, feeling a little hurt that she might not had liked it. "I-I kinda did but it took my by surprise." She said slowly snaking her arm again touching my skin, this time welcoming the sparks. "So River, tell me about your self?" I asked her drinking my beer while looking at her. "There isn't much to tell." Was all she replied. I had the urge to kiss her. It took every once of strength to push my wolf back. "Fuck it.." Was all I heard before her lips crashed mines. I dropped my beer on the ground and kissed her back. Wrapping my arms around her neck, pulling her closer to me if it was possible. The sparks courses through my body, my wolf howled in pride and joy! Once she pulled away I whimpered and leaned on her forehead. Opening my eyes I looked at her, she had her eyes closed but once she opened them, I was blown away. We were out of breathe. "Uh sorry to interrupt but Lelia, Mia is completely wasted. Help me take her to the spare room." Elijah told me. I looked back at him, he held his head down then looked at me. I nodded and looked at my mate. "Stay here, I'll be back quick. Okay?" I told her, not wanting to leave her. She nodded and picked up her beer she placed on the ground & started drinking again. Other people came out and started talking to her. I got up and went to look for Mia.
She had been in the kitchen drinking with some people, "Fuck most of you Werewolf's! I'll never be able to shift! But I still kick ass so don't Fuck with Me!" She yelled. She was completely gone. I shook my head and went up to her. "Hey keep it down, some of these people are humans. Come on let's get you to Bed." I grabbed her arms dragging her. "Hey! It's my BestFriend who happens to be the alpha's daughter!" She yelled giggling. I looked at her angry and dragged her away with Elijah behind. "Open the door Elijah." I told him. He struggled but managed to open it. Once inside i placed her on the bed. "Get some sleep Mia. That hang over is going to kill you in the morning." I told her tucking her in bed. "No! I don't want to sleep! I want to party!" She slurred but her body said other wise. She started to fall asleep. I took one good look at her and turned to Elijah. "No one comes in to this room. Am I clear?" I told him. He nodded and stepped to the side as I walked to the door. "Lock it when you leave." I told him leaving.
Running down the stairs, eager to find my mate I found her laughing with a couple guys and one girl getting closer to my mate. A low growl ripped from my chest as everyone looked at me. "Lelia, hey you alright?" One of the guys I think his name was Josh, said. My eyes kept locked with River. She was sitting way to close to this chick. "Hey! Your back. Come sit with us." River said smiling at me patting her lap. I walked towards her and looked at the girl as my eyes turned black. She got up walked away. I sat on her lap and smiled as her arm went around my waist again. "I missed you." I heard her whisper. My heart flutter at the thought that she actually missed us. I looked at her and her and she smiled. I leaned in and kissed her. Nothing else mattered just that moment. I pulled back when I felt her phone vibrate. She sighed and took it out. Her mom was calling. I looked away not wanting to interrupt. "Hey, put your number in. That way I know I met you and I won't forget you." She said smiling. I punched in my number and entered my name as "Lelia👭😏😘" . She smiled and I got up holding my hand out to her. "Let's go watch the fireworks." I told her. She nodded and we walked to the back.
The fireworks looked amazing but what made it more amazing was how she held on to me. I held her close to me, not wanting to let her go. "I'm glad I met you Sweetheart." I told her, even though I knew I she didn't hear me. I was a lot taller then her, so I let my hand glide behind her head, towards her cheek holding her face gently. She looked at me with care and joy. I leaned in and kissed her as the big firework went off. I knew I had to win her heart. She was mine to keep.
After we finished she told me she had to go, so I walked her to the front. "You need a ride?" I asked her, holding her hand. "No I drove. I should be fine." She told me. "I'll walk you to your car then." I told her, as she lead the way to her car. "How about you? Need a lift?" She asked softly. "No I drove here as well. I'm leaving soon anyways." I told her. We stopped at a black Jeep. "This is my car. It was great meeting you." She said as she opened the car door and turned to look at me. I smiled and pressed her body towards the car, closing the door in the process. Our body's fit perfectly together, our faces inches from each other. "It was more then great, I hope to see you real soon SweetHeart." I whispered to her, as my hands glided down to her waist and kissed her softly. Pulling away was hard enough. But hearing her soft moans made my wolf crazy. "Get home safe." I told her as I pulled away and walked back to the house. I turned to look at her and gave her a wink. She smiled and blushed hurrying to get in her car.
Heading home took a bit, but made it safe. I changed clothes and wiped off my make up I had on. I put on some small shorts and a tank top. I placed my phone underneath my pillow and laid there thinking of today. I met my Mate, but she was human. I knew it would bring trouble. But for her, I'd fight it all. Slowly my sleep consumed me and for once I was eager to welcome the next day.
