Chapter 7

3rd POV

Mia rushed home parking her car as quick as she could, calling her cousin and their friend on the way. She felt a little relieved that Elijah, Jonathan, Cole and Blake were waiting for her. They all were wearing basketball shorts ready to shift. Mia got out the car and walked towards them. "Any news on her?" She asked walking already to the back of the house into the forest. "None, we searched the woods perimeter but no signs." Cole replied. "She couldn't have gone far, her wolf would want to Be close to her mate. Why not check around her Mates house?" Jonathan said, making everyone stop. Mia turned around looking at him. "You are a Genius!" She said smiling. "Jonathan and Blake, go into the woods and check again. Elijah, Cole and Me will go check on her Mate. We'll check the perimeter around her area. Mind link us if you see anything." Mia said going in the house quick. "Wait, where are you going? I thought we was going to her Mates house?" Cole said walking behind Mia, with Elijah behind. "I'm changing into some gym clothes, we running there. You two will run in wolf form through the forest, I'll behind ya two." Mia said running up the stairs to change. "Wait you won't be able to keep up? Or will You?" Elijah said with his voice full with concern. He knew that his cousin couldn't shift, that's why he intrusted Leila to look after her. "I will be able to. Just because I can shift doesn't mean I don't have werewolf Abilities Eli." She said coming down in some tight shorts and sports bra. Her hair was tied up in a bun and ready to go. "Alright come on." Mia said running out the back door. Soon as Elijah and Cole stepped outside they shifted. Elijah's wolf was grey with his paws white and his stomach covered with white fur. Cole was a chocolate brown color fur. Elijah's wolf slightly bigger because of the rank he was in. They ran up ahead as Mia followed closely behind. Cole was amazed at her speed. But he knew he couldn't loose focus now. They split up surrounding River's house, her house was small. It was a one level type of house but had a big backyard. Mia stood behind a tree listening in to the house. She heard movements inside. Elijah was not to far away from the other side of the house, he scanned the area but had no luck. Same for Cole. Mia walked around the edges of the trees. Looking into the house. She felt like a predator stalking her prey. She had developed this hate for that girl. Her anger increased as everyone that was looking for Leila failed. Her eyes started to turn black. She ran towards the house. Elijah saw and growled following behind. "Guys! Mia's lost it! I think she's about to attack River!" He screamed through the mind link, praying that Leila heard it. Mia ran to the back door ripping it open. River heard the noise and ran out of her room. She saw Mia standing by the now ripped off door. She was breathing hard shaking with anger. River stepped back alarmed. "M-Mia? W-What are you Doing here?" She stuttered backing up. Mia growled in anger launching her self forward. Cole came from behind tackling Mia to the ground. Elijah and Cole had shifted into human form, wearing only shorts. River screamed moving back. Elijah stood in front of River protecting her. "Mia calm down! You can attack her!" Elijah yelled. Cole was struggling holding her down. Mia let out a fierce grow. Using every ounce of strength she pushed Cole off and ran after Elijah. "Run!" He said to Rivee as he ran towards her as well. She was in shock as they slammed together and he threw her against the table, breaking it in the process. She's never seen anything like that. So many questions ran through her head. "What are you Waiting for?! Run!"
Cole said as he tried to pull Mia off. River was frozen in shock. She wanted to run but couldn't. Mia fought against them. She felt anger as she saw her standing there. She pushed Elijah with her back slamming him against the wall, making him let go. And broke a piece of wood and stabbing it on Coles leg. Cole screamed in pain. Mia was breathing hard as she started walking towards River. As if she was coming out of shock River turned around and ran towards the door. Mia smirked and took her time. But fate must not be on her side today. She tripped on one of the steps and falls. Mia stands by the door as her eyes are trained on her. "Please don't hurt me!" River pleads as tears fall from her eyes. Mia jumps but is suddenly tackled in Mid Air. River had shut her eyes in fear of the impact. But it never came. Instead she heard the impact on the other side of her. She saw Leila punching Mia right in the face. They fought like wild beast. River was breathing hard just staring. Elijah came out with Cole limping. Elijah ran towards River, squatting down. "You okay?" He asked looking at her. River could speak, she wanted to scream no she wasn't, but somehow couldn't. Cole came next to them, "I called the others, they should..." He didn't finish the sentence when Jonathan and Blake appeared. Blake pulled Leila off and Jonathan held Mia in Place. River saw as Blake whispered something in her ear. Mia kept struggling to fight back. Leila stopped and stepped forward. "Submit Mia." She growled in Anger. Mia had stopped struggling till she bowed her head. Jonathan held Mia up by the arm. She was badly hurt. River kept her eyes on Leila as she started talking to Mia quietly. Mia looked at River with cold eyes and then at Leila and nodded. Them three walked off, leaving Leila standing there. Leila turned around and walked towards her. River gasped at how she looked. She was wearing a sports bra and a pair of small shorts and a pair of beaten up shoes. Leila had a swollen cheek and busted lip, she had scratches going down her arm still bleeding. But what had captured her eyes was the amazing tattoo on the side of her ribs. It was a detailed cherry blossom tree that started from the bottom of her waist and went up her side. She hadn't noticed that Leila was already in front of her talking to her. "W-What?" She said stuttering. She felt the anger that was coming from her. Leila growled a little annoyed. "I said, Are you ok?" She said looking down at her. Elijah stood up standing next to Leila. "She's okay, she's just in shock. I'm taking Cole to the doctor, Mia stabbed him in the leg." He said looking at Cole as he was sitting next to River. "Fine." Was all she said still looking at River. She felt uncomfortable as she kept staring at her. After all these she only wanted Leila to comfort her for some odd reason. Elijah went towards Cole helping him up. "Wait.." Cole said as he looked at River. "Leila will never hurt you.. There's a pretty good chance You might be the one to hurt her." He said quietly.  Elijah nodded and started to walk away from them. River lowered her eyes to the ground. Leila let out a sigh and lowered her self. "Are you Sure you ok?" She asked with a soft voice. River shook her said and started to cry. Leila helped her up as she kept crying. And she did something completely unexpected, River hugged her. Burying her face on the crook of her neck. Leila was shocked. But reluctantly held her.
