Chapter 15

Leila's POV

Today was the day. My father hands me my position. I was nervous. Many thoughts ran through my Head but I was excited. One thing I wanted to keep positive was that I got to present my Luna. My wolf was beyond happy. But the down side was that any female can challenge her for that position. It happened with my step mother. She was challenged by various she-wolves. She took them on with grace and showed no mercy. My little mate would have to fight with teeth and bare hands for her title if she wanted to keep it.
Currently I was in my fathers study looking out the window, Mia and Cole were sitting down looking at me. "Are you ready?" Mia asked me worried. She knew the traditions. "Yes. I'm just concerned for River." I replied. Cole stood up, "I'll bring her here so we can talk to her." As soon as he said it, he left. "She isn't ready. You know that. These she wolves will kill her." Mia stood walking towards me to stand next to me. Her eyes filled with worry. "I know. But it's tradition." I stated. "Fuck that! Leila that's Your Mate! She has no Experience with our fighting skills.." She rises her voice. I looked at her with anger. "Of course I Know! Don't you think I'm worried?!" I yelled. I felt bad but I couldn't change traditions. My wolf was proud that she would be our Luna, but she knew that these wolves would want to challenge her.
Cole came back with River behind. She was wearing a white sun dress, her hair was loose and out. She was wearing light make up, giving her that angelic look. I fell in love with this sight. Mia Nudged me, getting my attention back on what was going on. "We need to talk." I stated. I knew she was nervous. I felt it. She sat down next to Cole. Mia and Me sat across from them. "As you know I'll be taking the Alpha Position today. In less then 2hrs. Which means you'll become a Luna. My Luna. Cole will be my Beta." I said looking at her process everything. "What's a Beta? And an Alpha? And Luna? No one really Explained anything to Me.." She said softly. Mia took over, "An Alpha is the Leader of a Pack. A group of Wolves I mean. Leila was born first so she will be the Leader and Lead this pack into greatness. A Beta is like a 2nd in Command. He helps The Alpha make choices or if the Alpha is incapable of leading the Beta will take Over. Then there is the 3rd in command. Which Elijah will take over. He is like a right head for the Alpha, they are usually in charge of pack training. He decides if a pack member should go up in training ranks. He also helps his Alpha make choices as well." She explained. She knew these things because her father was a 3rd in command but retired to spend more time with his family. "As a Luna, you will be by Leila's side. You help lead this pack as Well. As Leila is the hard side showing the Pack members that she is strong and had the capacity to lead this pack, you will care for the pack. You Balance things. Like a Mother would care for her child, you will care for us. You have an important role for Us." Cole said looking at River. She was quiet looking at her folded hands. "When you become Luna, there will be She wolves that will want to challenge you for this position. You will have to fight." I stated firmly. River's face paled. "What?! I'm human! Leila I'll get slaughtered! How can you let this Happen!" She stood up yelling. I stood up as well in anger, "I know, but Trust me when I Have something Planned. You won't be the Only one being Challenged for this Position! Men will challenge me For my Alpha Title River!" I growled in anger, Mia lowered her head as well as Cole in submission. River didn't coward away. She stood her ground. My wolf was a bit happy but then quickly faded because she didn't respect us. "I don't care about your stupid Role! I don't want to Fight! If a female wants my Title she can have it!" She growled a bit. Mia looked up, gasping. Cole was in a flash in front of Mia protecting her. My wolf wanted to Be let out to teach her a lesson. I growled angrily, that's when her eyes widened. "I am Your Alpha and Mate. You Will follow these traditions," I growled with such venom it surprised me myself. I stalked towards her, as she backed up. "You Will fight for this position. Or so help Me Moon Goddess, I'll tie you up to the Pole and beat it In to you how to Respect Me." I said with such anger I had her pinned against the wall. Pressing my body perfectly against her. Cole put his hands on my shoulder, "Leila, enough.. We have a plan. River just trust us. Please." He pleaded her. I growled and went back to sit next to Mia. Mia held my hand trying to comfort my anger but it didn't help. River stood by the wall, hugging her self as Cole tried to relax her. Mia stood up. "It's time. Come on." She held out a hand for me. But just brushed pass her. Mia retreated back a bit. Walking to the door, I looked at River. Cole whispered something I could hear. She nodded and walked up to me. I held out a hand and she took it. "I'll go through with it. I'll be your Luna." She whispered. With out a word I pulled her out the door walking towards the back of the house. Cole was standing behind me with Mia. He wanted to present  her as his mate as a surprise. I thought it was cute.
"As you all Know, I will be stepping down as the Current Alpha and as well as my wife. She will be stepping down as the current Luna. The person I decided that is Ready for this position has had a hard life. This person has fought many battles both external and internal. But I am Confident Enough to hand my title to my First Born, who will Lead this Pack into Pure Greatness, along with the Luna that is chosen. It is with a Great pleasure I present my Daughter as the New Alpha Queen, Leila!" He says with pure happiness. I walk up to the stage alone. Taking my bow towards my father showing him respect. Everyone is howling with proudness and happiness. "Do you Leila, accept to be the New Alpha of Blood Moon Pack? **im not sure if I ever named her pack but if I did please correct me!** " he states standing tall. "Yes father, I will Lead this pack into Greatness." I said proudly. The pack applauds and cheers for me. The Luna comes forward and I stand alone facing everyone. I take in everyone's face looking at how happy they are for me. But one face stands out. She looks in anger. I zone in on her. "Blake, there is a girl standing by the back. She's wearing a black shirt and faded jeans, she's kinda of tall and has black hair. Can't miss her. Keep an Eye on her." I mind link him as I scan the crowed. Blake slowly advances on her but keeping his distance as well. "I am Proud to announce the New Luna who is Also her mate. I present to You all the New Luna, River!" She yells happily as River comes out walking towards me. She smiles a bit and stands by my Side. I proudly slide my hand around her waist pulling her towards me. "I am happy to be You Alls New Alpha and I Promise to take my time to meet everyone and Lead Blood Moon into Utter Greatness that we Deserve!" I yell out as everyone cheers. "Now with Great Pleasure, I'd like to present my New Beta and 3rd in Command. My beta is my Left hand, he has done so much to help and I am More then happy to have him in this spot. I present Cole as my Beta!" Everyone cheers as he comes up to the stage, wear a white button up, similar to mines. And black jeans. "It's a great Pleasure to take this position and help my Alpha Queen take over. And I will also take the time to introduce my Beautiful mate, it'll be a surprise for her but this is My Mate who will help me in my Role, Mia!" He said with such pride. Mia looked stunned. As if she couldn't believe that Cole was her mate. Cole held his hand out for her to come up to the stage. She slowly came up, her face was filled with surprise and anger. "I know I never told you. But I didn't know how. But now I couldn't hold it any Longer. You are my Mate. The girl I Love." He said as he crashed his lips against her. I looked down to River, she was blushing a bit and turned to look at me. I gave her a small smile. "Next," I started looking into the crowd. "I want to introduce my 3rd in Command. He is a strong warrior that will train our members to make them Amazing. Elijah please step Forward." I held out, as Elijah came to the stage taking his bow, showing me his submission to me. "I will gladly take this position Alpha Queen." He said. I was proud. He didn't want to say anything because he was saving it for when he started to train the males and females.
