The Brothers' Assistance

Joe's POV

From the moment I first laid eyes on Katee, I just knew that she was the one. The one who'd I spend the rest of my life cherishing, loving and protecting. She's everything and so much more. Even when I found out her history with Donnie didn't diminish my love and dedication for her. I hate that he has history with her but she has more than proven her love towards me and I plan to spend my life treating her like the queen that she is to me, better than he ever could treat a woman. All he's ever done with women is use and discard them as quickly as you would a trading card. I'd trust Jordan with Katee's friend too. He's had his fair share of fun like me but he's respectful and loyal.

Unlike Donnie and Danny, me and Jordan would actually listen to our mothers.
I have been planning for this day since I began the tour and I feel like it's going to be perfect today. Perfect timing. Her friends are here so we can celebrate the engagement afterwards on our next day off. Both Jordan and Jon have been helping me with the planning. I want it to be perfect for Katee but couldn't have made it such by myself. The hardest thing to do is choose my outfit for the date and proposal. I know that she wouldn't care if I wore a bin-bag but I want to make the effort for her and for us. I've decided to wear my dark blue coloured suit with a matching tie. Am I overdressed; maybe quite possibly but I don't give a hoot.

Today is special and hopefully it will be something we will look back on fondly. Katee is with her friends in their room so I'm just waiting for the Knights to come in to my room.
Ten minutes later and I'm startled by the knocking on the door. "Hey guys!" As soon as I open the door, the brothers step inside. "Looking good man! How are you feeling?" Jordan questions me. "Excited! What if she says no? Ha that'd be embarrassing!!" Jon's eyes rubs his chin. "You're the most confident guy I know and I'm sure you know that there's no chance she'll say no. It's obvious to everyone that she loves you and worships the ground you walk on." I snicker but they both shoot knowing glances my way. "Come on, everyone except Donnie. Although I think he's finally accepted me and Katee together." Jordan nods. "Yeah, still can't get my head around that she had his baby and he didn't want to know. I'll never forget the look on his face when he saw her with you." Not really wanting to dampen my mood, I quickly change the conversation to the occasion. "Everything set in motion for later?" Both brothers nod. "It's gonna be beautiful, Joe. We're proud of the man you've become. Love you bud." Jon says honestly while getting teary eyed. Jordan clapped his hand hard on the back of my shoulder causing me to flinch. "Ditto, man. It's going to be beautiful and she's gonna say yes! I have no doubt about it. You two are meant to be. All the best, bud." I try to fight the tears from falling but they escape quicker than I can say 'boo!'. I nervously laugh and thank my two best friends.

The brothers walk downstairs with me and then they stay a few steps behind me as we head for the main entrance foyer. I find a spot to stand and wait for Katee to meet me.
When I see the top of her head coming out of the lift behind an elderly couple, my emotions begin to rise. It stirs something inside of me as I quickly watch the old couple as hope fills my heart in that could be me and Katee in years to come. The vision of Katee once she is in my view. Her dark brown locks loosely pinned back and her fringe framing her beautiful face. My heart suddenly skipped a beat as my gaze takes in her beauty. She's wearing a long, burgundy dress with beading decorating the bust area and the high slit. Oh my god! I feel myself swooning when she beams at me. It feels like coming home, a source of comfort for me. Even more so when she wraps her arms around my body. I lean down to kiss her. "You look absolutely stunning, sweetheart. Are you ready for our date?" Nodding, "yes, my love. I'm all yours. You look really handsome, Joseph."

Once she takes the hand I'm holding out for her, I lead her so she's by my side and I glance over to where the brothers are watching us. I raise my brow at them and I gesture my thanks to them. Everything is riding on how it all pans out from here out onwards. Let's hope she says yes, although my ego has less doubts! Together me and the leading lady in my life head towards our future; hand in hand and lots of surprises in store.
