the rays of the sun from above slipped through the windows of melissa mccall's bedroom, the woman blinked her eyes open as she had gotten a sense of awakening.

melissa's face erupted in confusion as she saw scott and isaac sprawled out separate chairs.

"boys." melissa softly says, which didn't work on either of them.

"boys!" melissa raised her voice.

isaac and scott jolted awake, scrambling out of the chairs.

isaac stumbles over his own feet and stood up.

"what do you think you're doing?" melissa questions.

"uh, we were watching over you." isaac awkwardly says.

"we were making sure that you weren't the third sacrifice." scott adds.

melissa's eyes darted in between them. "but, you both were asleep."

"you were on watch last." scott looks over at isaac with a pointed look.

isaac confusingly looks at him. "what are you talking about? you were on watch last."

"no, you were on watch last!" scott argues.

isaac had a look on his face as if trying to remember, an embrassed look appearing on his face. "i might have been on watch last night..."

melissa sarcastically smiles. "my heros."

"wait..." melissa looks over at her son. "didn't you say that they were doctors? i mean, i haven't had an m.d recently attached to my name, so, i think i'm clear."

scott had a look of seriousness on his face. "mom, it could be under any kind of healer and you were definitely a healer last night..."

isaac came back rushing inside the room which confused melissa since she didn't even notice him leaving.

"aviva isn't here, scott." isaac says in worry.

"aviva isn't going to get taken, it's going overboard, don't you think?" melissa laughed.

"isn't here? what does that mean? is she alive? is she still alive?" scott anxiously asks.

melissa looks at her son as if he had completely lost his mind. "what in the world is wrong with you? of course she is alive!"

melissa shot him an ever more stranger look as she saw him sighing out in relief.

"why are you guys still here? don't you have school or something?" aviva's voice came from outside of melissa's room.

melissa settled herself back on the mattress with a sigh.

"aviva-." isaac was saying with a smile.

the lahey then felt his self being shoved to the side by scott, him looking over at the mccall, clearly stunned.

aviva became alarmed by scott's sudden hug which made her hug him back with a smile.

"you're alive, thank goodness!" he says in relief.

aviva then pulls away from her brother, her then looking over at her mother, who had rised up, her shaking her head, thinking her youngest has lost his mind.

"you as well." scott then says to his sister.

"me as well for what?" aviva blankly looks at him.

"oh god, no." melissa groans. "just go to school."
