Setting up for the party with Nai was a longgggg process especially doing it just us two. We slowly start to see all are friends walk in slowly but surly.
"LUKIE POOKIE!" I yell as I give him a bear hug and Nai laughs
"BIRTHDAY GIRL WHATS UP?!" he gives me the same energy
"We decided to come early to help you guys out is that okay?" Ryley asked
"Hell yeah we are no where near done we need the help" Nai says sighing
"I'll get started on the living room!" Reagan picked up decorations and headed over.
I invited a good amount of people from are grade to join but not everybody... I made sure the invitations didn't cross some people's path so they wouldn't come. But the more the marier. All of are friends came in first then came the others that spilled in. Before you have it we already had 10 drunk people and 16 people on the dance floor. Even more scattered around the house.
After talking to everyone for a while and all the happy birthdays I received I went to go stand with Nai in the kitchen.
"Thomas?" Nai said looking at the front door causing the both of us to go to him. He reeked of pure alcohol.
"Nai is it a good idea for him to be here?" I said whispering as Thomas started to catch attitude.
"I think you may be right"
Before I knew it I felt someone grab my arm.
"Bella they need you" Jack says
His curly loose hair with both his friends standing behind him.
"I haven't seen you all party and you only get me because people need me?!" I pretended to act hurt
"Oh come on you know it's not like that you're the busy bee here!" He said throwing his arm around me
"Wow look at you pretty girl" Marcus says clapping while Alex just wisles.
"Alright cut it out both of you" Jack says giving them a side eye.
"Thank you thank you!" I said smiling
"Hey!" Nick yelled to me
"We need a bottle empty!" He yelled again
"Uhhh who the hell has an empty bottle?" I ask
"I do!" Alex says
"Of course the weird one does" Marcus butted in
"Here! Uhhhhh I don't remember your name!" Alex said throwing it to Nick
"Nick?" Me and Jack said at the same time
"Look they even jinx like twins" Marcus laughed
"Alright cut it" Jack said rolling his eyes
All three started to walk away with Jack in the back. Before I could move he grabbed my arm again.
"You look beautiful by the way" he said then filling behind them
101 ways how to make a girl red then dip out I guess. By the time I came back to Nai and Thomas they were gone. Nai had left a note saying she's at her house. Geez birthday party feels off without my og. I bump into someone behind me.
"Oh my bad Matt"
"Hey birthday girl!"
"You look like you're looking for someone what's up?"
"Oh do you know where Nai is"
"Her house with Thomas"
"What?" He looked a little upset when he said that
"He came drunk she needed to take him out of the party so we don't have an incident like last time. I'm sure she'd be fine if you went to help her out."
"Nah wouldn't wanna intrude on them" he said walking away annoyed.
His demeanor felt off then. There was something about him today that didn't feel right. Kinda like a ticking time bomb that was going in his head. Almsot as if one person pushed a button he was gone for the count. I know damn well to mess with an angry white man I mean look at Thomas.
As I walk away with a drink in my hands the living room is packed with people. Some making out, others dancing, and others talking by the drinks.
"Mimi! Mimi! Take pictures with us!" A girl from my class drags me.
"Sure thing!"
I'm glad my platform taught me how to be more extroverted or else this party would be a total no go. And I'm practically playing with fire sense my parents have no clue.
