2nd October. 4:30pm.
"So did the girls wish you a happy birthday?" Tori mom asked her, as they stood in the kithen and Tori made a snack. "Yeah, as always. They gave me a little goody bag." Tori smiled as she turned to her mom. "Ooh, what did they get you?" Her mom asking, a little over the top. "Usual. Chocolate, bubble bath, some earrings, a necklace." Tori went on. "Oh thats lovely" Her mom nodded. "It would be....if i would wear it" Tori shook her her as she turned to her bowl. "Why wont you wear it?" Her mom asked.
"Because, its got...flowers and stuff on it. I dont...wear stuff like that, i told them but they didnt care" Tori shrugged. "Well...they still got you something" Her mom smiled. "Yeah, i guess. However, im going out tonight" Tori looked at her mom. "Really?! Where?" Her mom asked her. "Just out. See where the night takes me" Tori mocked a little. "Who with? the girls?" Her mom then asked. "Uh...." Tori turned for her phone to chime just in time.
"Not exactly...." Tori trailed off as she read a text.

Tori smiled, as she sent back a reply with a smile. "Who with?" Her mom then asked again. "Friends" Tori smiled before picking up her small bowl, and phone and heading out to her living room. "So...your 18 today. You were at school, and now your going out with friends?" Her mom followed her. "Oh yeah i forgot...." Tori sat down and looked at her mom. "What?" Her mom smiled. Tori grinned at her then gave up when her mom didnt speak.
"Of course we didnt forget about your birthday! Your 18 Tori-Leigh!" Her mom giggled. "Ugh, how about we change my name for my 18th" Tori mocked a little. "Be quiet! Your name is beautiful...like you!" Her mom told her, slightly offended with Tori's words. "Thank you, your the only person who wiill call me that" Tori sighed, as she ate a spoonful of yoghurt, then crunching a few oats with fruit.
"Your dad is picking up your present." Her mom smiled as she sat back. "Hm...thank you" Tori smiled at her mom. "We know you will like it" She nodded. "Really?" Tori asked, and watched as her mom nodded. "Y'know its a pity i couldnt get my car for my birthday." Tori sighed looking at her mom. "I have my lience, and ive passed everything" Tori reminded her, but her mom just nodded. "Christmas?" Tori egged on. "Maybe" Her mom nodded and smiled a little.
"So what time...are you going out at?" Her mom asked her. "Around 7 or something." Tori smiled at her. "Cool." Her mom nodded. "Why? Was there something planned?" Tori asked looking at her. "Nope" Her mom shook her head. "Mom....if there is. I need to know before...5" She looked at the clock, as it soon struck 5. "No. Nothing yet. I was going to throw you a party....but, couldnt really do that so." Her mom shrugged. "I dont need a party" Tori smiled warmly. "Your not that type of teenager" Her mom giggled.
"Yep, give me concert tickets and ill be on my way" Tori giggled. "Oh! Speaking of which...." Tori's mom trailed off. "What?" Tori asked perking her head up. "Something came in the mail...the other day but...." Her mom mocked. "Mom?" Tori asked, getting a little anxious. "I cant seem to find the envelope. It was something i ordered a few months back...." Her mom sighed. "Mom?!" Tori shouted a little. "Maybe...there through here" Her mom got up, and walked out the living room.
"Mom! If your fucking with me!?" Tori gasped out.
"Language missy!" Her mom laughed walking back in. She handed Tori an envelope with a think bow and ribbon tying it. "I thought...dad was picking it up?" Tori looked at her mom. "He is." She smiled before nodding the envelope up and down with wide eyes. "Theres more?" Tori asked. "Open this...or its getting thrown out!" Her mom giggled, before Tori grabbed it. "What is it? Money?" Tori grinned. "You wont know...till you open it" Her mom sat down oppisite her looking at her. Tori sighed as she turned it round.
