Standing listening to Miss Brooks, Tori was thankful she wasnt paired to Michael. No, but he was still at her work station! The cooking stations were in the shape on hexagon. Two pairs worked at one side, and the other pair at the other side with their cookers at the free side. Tori was paired up with another girl. Her name, Tina. She was quiet, so that was cool. Tori felt bad for the boy paired up with Michael. His name was Kyle, and he was really quiet!
"Uhm, Mr Clifford...you know the rules for my classroom" Miss Brooks smiled at him. "Course Miss" He smiled, taking off his leather jacket. Sitting it away at the side, Tori looked over at him. He sat with a shirt, mid length sleeves with capital letters I D I O T written on the front of it. Well, least he got his name right. He moved his sleeves up his arms and something caught Tori's eyes.
He had gotten tattoos. Three band like designs round his arm, below and above his elbow. He was busy at summer. He now had a eyebrow piercing and tattoos. As if his ears werent enough, he never used to look like this. Back when he transferred sophmore year, he was totally different. Tori looked him up and down, till she looked at his face and he turned and caught her. He smiled at her, deviously and winked.
Tori looked away and turned to Tina, who was still listening to the teacher. "Anyway, long story short you guys are in here for this year before your the good cooks. Good at baking, decorating and higher up, so well done!" Miss Brooks grinned. Tori laughed a little, a little too loud. Some people looked at her and so did Miss Brooks. "Everything okay Miss Montgomery?" She asked smiling.
"Oh yeah, i just think thats...a little understated" She admitted to her. "What do you mean?" Miss Brooks asked. "Well, im just saying i dont think...everyone in here is of a good standard" Tori directed her eyes to Michael. Michael chuckled and raised his hand. "I think shes talking about me, but its clear that i am here so...." Michael mockingly told her. "I dont think you should be here...you dont even have an interest" Tori told him.
"Look Torence, i appreciate your...enthusiasm for the class but you dont clearly dont know me" He smiled at her. Suddenly everyone in the room was gone from Tori's mind except from her and Michael. "Wouldnt you rather be in P.E...or some other subject where you can run your mouth off?!" She asked him. "Tori...." Miss Brooks spoke. "Baking is cool. However i think you may fit in another class... or perhaps...the anger managemtent course?" He smirked at her.
People began to whisper amongst themselves. "Okay, Michael enough!" Miss Brooks told him. "Look, Clifford your clearly not wanted in here so why dont you head back to wherever it is where you bunk off too usually!" She told him. "Torence, i dont think this attitude is necersary...Its obvious, you have some kind of arrogance towards people trying to help..." He chuckled a little, knowing he was getting on her nerves.
"Both of you!" Miss Brooks shouted. Tori and Michael looked at her. "Please, enough." She spoke more softly. "All i'm saying is i think he'd rather bang than bake" Tori spoke. The words, and sentence just slid right out her mouth. Some people began to laugh as they looked at Michael. "Tori!" Miss Brooks shook her head, hiding a smile. "Would you like to volunteer?" Michael asked her.
"Piss off Clifford!" Tori spat at him. "Okay, enough! Both of you. Michael i warned you. Please move down to this table please" Miss Brooks told him. "Me?! I didnt do shit, it was tight ass over there!" He told her. "Michael! Enough with that language! Now...move!" She warned him. Some 'ooohs' came from people in the class and Tina smiled at Tori.
Now, she kinda felt...different. Why? She didnt know. "Wait" Tori sighed. Miss Brooks, and Michael looked at her. "Im sorry, i lost my cool. Everything will be okay, if he keeps quiet. He can stay there" She told the teacher. Looking at Michael wide eyed then to Tori she sighed. "Are you sure Tori?" Miss Brooks asked. "Yes, honestly" Tori sighed and nodded. Smirking, Michael stood back in postion and looked over at Tori.
"Okay, well moving on...." Miss Brooks began.
As the class continued on, soon the hour was up and the bell went for third period. One more class before break, and Tori hoped it was Michael Clifford free. Tori grabbed her folder, and notebook before heading out the class. She got to the door and someone touched her back. She turned and Michael was right at her back. "Nice save back there" He told her.
"Leave me alone" She told him. "Either that or" "Or what?" He quickly disturbed her. He chuckled and looked her up at down. "Dont worry...I'll have you wrapped around my finger soon Tori...." He told her, quietly and his voice dominent. Tori swallowed, but her throat suddenly got dry. Words vanished from her mind, and she didnt know what to say.
"See you later" He smiled, again before walking off.
