"This is really nice mom" Tori commented as she sat and ate. "Thanks honey, you helped too" Her mom grinned. "Fantastic little cooks" Tori's dad smiled. Tori laughed a little. "This gravy is just...mmm" Her dad smiled. "Secret recipe" Her mom winked. Tori smiled and shook her head before eating another slice of turkey.
"So, having a good day off school?" Her dad smiled. "Yeah, any day off is good" Tori laughed. "Good, good. Classes going well?" "MmHmm. Just prepping for midterms." Tori sighed before eating a carrot.
The door knocked and Tori looked out the dining room. "Whos that?" Her dad asked. "I dont...know" Her mom shrugged before looking at Tori. Oh no. "I'll get it" Tori quickly stood up. She sat her napkin up and walked out, towards the front door.
Opening it, she looked up to see Michael standing. Slightly out of breath.
"What the fuck...did you run here?!" Tori asked him. "That hill, is so bad!" Michael told her. "Hill...? Where is your car?" She asked. "Remember...my dad is taking things away from me" He told her, letting himself in. "Your kidding, Mikey....you cant barge in!" Tori told him quietly. "You told me, your here if i need to talk." He looked at her. "And i am...but we're having dinner right now" Tori told him.
"Aww shit, sorry" He sighed. "Hey...." Tori smiled at him. "Your hair" She blushed. "Oh yeah, is it okay? Because if its not...fuck. This is what started off the argument." Michael sighed as he pointed to his newly dyed hair. Blue.
"Sorry, i'll leave. Just been out for a few hours now...clearing my head" Michael sighed. "You've been out for hours?" Tori asked. "Yeah...kinda dont want to go back home" Michael nodded. "Dont say that...im sure its just a hiccup. Look...." Tori looked through towards the dining room, then back up at him. "Have you eaten?" She asked him. "Yeah, i had some food....around 11" He smiled at her. "Michael!" She looked at him. "Huh?" He smiled.
Taking his arms, she pushed him out the door. "Stay here. I'll be back in a minute" Tori smiled. She then closed the door, and headed back to the dining room. "WHo was that?" Her mom asked. "Uh...a friend in need" Tori sighed. "WHo?" Her dad asked. "Michael." Tori told them. "Is he okay?" Her mom asked. "Not really. He's had a ...small fight with his parents and is out walking around trying to clear his head." Tori looked at her mom and dad.
"Trying to get free food" Her dad chuckled. "No!" Tori looked at her dad. "I know its thanksgiving but...i cant turn him away" Tori told her mom. Her mom looked over before sighed and nodding her head. "Your kidding right?" Her dad smiled. "Dad!" Tori looked at him. "Tori...isnt that person. Come on..." Her mom smiled. "He's not even family" Her dad shrugged. "He's...my friend" Tori told him. "A friend...is nothing much. I dont know him, your mom doesnt know him"
"I trust him. I like him..." Tori sighed. "I know him!" She stared at her dad. SHaking his head as she shrugged her dad looked away. Tori got a plate and sat it out, beside her. "I apologise but...i cant turn him away" Tori admitted to them before going out the dining room to the front door again.
Opening the door she looked at Michael and smiled. "Come on in. Hope you like home cooked dinner" Tori joked. "Really? Thanks Tori" Michael smiled as he stepped in. Tori closed the door, then took his arm. "Wait" SHe smiled. Looking at his, leather jacket, ripped band shirt, skinny jeans and boots. His sleeves rolled up, his bracelets and wristbands on show. "Gimme your jacket when we get to the dining room" SHe smiled at him.
The both of them walked to the dining room, and Tori smiled at her mom and dad. "Hello Michael. Happy thanksgiving!" Her mom greeted him. "Happy thankgiving Mrs Montgomery...Mr Montgomery" Michael nodded to Tori's dad. "I apologise for barging in like this" He smiled. "Not at all, welcome" Her mom grinned. Tori tugged at his jacket, and smiled before Tori took off his jacket and smiled handing it to Tori.
