It had been quiet over the past week. Tori made her room, into her house. She was in there all the time, she rarely spoke with her parents, and only spoke to her friends if they called her. Her phone was quiet, and she lay in lounge clothes all day. Her parents had over a few close family members for new years eve, to celebrate. Tori said hi, and went back to her room. It wasnt good.
She didnt go down for anything. She took up a large bottle of water, and soda to her room with some straws, and she ordered a pizza. That was alll she was going to eat. She wasnt going to go near downstairs.
You know the saying, New Year is a fresh start! A new time to begin again, and make better choices. Nope, its the same. Whatever happened before the clock struck midnight, on the first of January the previous year...would still be on your mind. You will still have to face things. It doesnt disappear. Its still there, waiting to be fixed. Its your choice, to either leave it or fix it.
New Years day. January 1st. 6:47am.
Tori lay sleeping. In jogging bottoms, an oversized sweatshirt and her hair in a messy ponytail. Face clean with some black eyeliner remaining on her waterline from the previous night. No, she wasnt partying with her family celebrating the new year. She was sat in her room, watching movies and eating candy canes from christmas with some crying sessions.
Her phone started to ring. Ring, and ring. The ringtone loud in her ear, echoing agaisnt her bedside table. "Mmm!" She groaned out, annoyed. It still rang. "Sake!" She cursed out as she grabbed her phone, answered it and put it to her ear. Still eyes closed, and half asleep.
"Hello?"
"Hello? Tori?" A deep voice asked her.
"What?" Tori answered back, annoyed.
"Its Pete" The voice told her.
Tori opened her eyes. "Uncle Pete? Whats wrong?" She asked.
"Uhm...sorry to disturb you but we have someone in the station...who you might know" He told her.
"What?! Who...?" Tori sat up more.
"Now dont worry, he's alright...."
"He?! Is it my dad!? ..... Caleb? Toby?!" Tori asked.
"No. Your dads fine. Its someone with the name....Michael Clifford."
Tori sat up, holding the phone to her ear tight.
"Michael....whats happened?" She asked, suddenly worried.
"Nothing. He's fine. Just got a headache I presume. Hungover, got him from out in the street last night, drunk." He told Tori.
"Ohh, shit!" Tori sighed, quietly as she shook her head.
"Tori, its procedure we call his parents. However, he's an adult and he's been wanting to see you"
"Me? Why me?" Tori asked.
"Im not sure, look im sorry to wake you and everything but...could you come to the station?" He asked.
Tori nodded. "Yeah, sure. Thank you uncle Pete!"
"See you soon!" He told her, before hanging up.
Tori jumped out of bed, and ran to her closet. She grabbed out a shirt, and flannel before grabbing jeans. Running to her bathroom, she got washed and changed before shoving her clothes on. She grabbed her boots and zipped them up, hoping to her dressing table. She looked at herself in the mirror. SHe looked like shit.
