"Stupid idiot! Asshole, thinking he's what i want....!" Tori spat under her breath as she walked into her house. Her mom worked, so did her dad. Her dad didnt get home till after 9 at night, and her moms hours changed. Shaking her head, she wiped her feet on the mat and sighed walking down the hall into the kitchen. "I cant believe I stayed behind for that dick! " She shook her head as she took off her bag.
"For who?" Her mom disturbed her. "Mom! You frightened me" Tori admitted turning to her. "What are you doing home?" She asked. "I got away early. I started at eleven and finished and two" Her mom smiled at her. "Oh...cool" Tori nodded before turning to the fridge, and biting her lip. "So, who were you talking about?" Her mom asked. "No one" Tori lied. "Tori, i heard you...." Her mom sighed. Tori turned to her and sighed as she sat up on the counter.
"Its english..." She started. Nodding, her mom stood against the kitchen table. "Well, we're doing Romeo and Juliet...and Mr Fitz paired us up with people to do essays and a mind map. He's paired me up with one of the most, annoying, childish, uninterested person in the whole class" She told her. "Well, have you told Mr Fitz....about her?" Her mom asked. "Him, mom...its a him..." Tori told her. "Oh! Okay..." Her mom looked at her.
"His name is Michael and he never pays any attention in class! but this morning he told me in english, after finishing our mind map that we could start the essay in the library after school...." Tori began to tell her. "Oh, is that where you were...Hanna called and said you were away to see your english teacher....." "Yes, well she and Spencer dont know that i went to the library to study with Michael. They know im paired up with him though" Tori nodded.
"Okay....continue" Her mom smiled. "....well I sat in the library with him till 4:15pm, to finish our esssays. He did so, and so did I...so we gave them in to Mr Fitz...now, the sad part is...he is also in my health class and he harrasses me all the time! Like seriously, stupid jokes and sexual humour!" Tori tutted as she shook her head. "So, when we were walking out from school he kept saying....asking if i wanted to be his partner, and stuff....he's just so annoying!" Tori looked at her mom.
Her mom thought for a moment and sat down at the table. "So...this Michael...is he Michael...Clifford?" She asked. Tori looked at her mom. "Yes, how do you know?" SHe asked. "I talk to his mom all the time! We all do....his mother and...the boys he hangs around with moms...." She told Tori. "What?!" Tori asked her, surprised. "Hang on...do you feel uncomfortable around him? Do you want me to tell his mother?" She asked.
"No, mom! Dont...thats stupid. Its nothing i cant handle..." Tori nodded. "But you said he harrasses you in class" Her mom sighed. "Yeah but telling stupid, sexual jokes. He's just an 18 year old boy who is....who he is" Tori shrugged. "Well sweetie...if he doesnt pull his head out of his ass....tell Mr Fitz you refuse to work with him...and in health class....just ignore him or tell your teacher" Her mom suggested.
"Yeah, our health teacher seems that way he would sort it" Tori nodded. "Who is it....?" Her mom asked. "Oh, its another teacher....he's new." Tori told her. "See. Just tell him then" Her mom smiled. "Yeah, thanks mom" Tori sighed and jumped down off the counter. Nodding, her mom stood up and kissed her head before walking out the kitchen. "Boys will be boys hun!" Her mom called from walking down the hall. Tori sighed and nodded.

It was 9pm, and Tori had been in her room most of the night. She sat on her bed, listening to her music and finishing up homework. Once she was done, she switched on her TV and sat thinking while her shows played. Looking down at her folder, she noticed something. Taking out a piece of paper, it wasnt her work. Reading it, she didnt understand the work either...it wasnt her handwriting. It was half an essay about Romeo and Juliet.
She turned it around and spotted in the corner 'Michael Clifford' Tori sat and read what he had done. It was a first draft, and must've accidently got mixed up with her work. It was a good first try...but the one he done earlier that day was better. Sighing, Tori thought for a moment. Okay, fine. She had to admit it to herself. She didnt like Michael, he was annoying, obnoxious, misogynistic, and down right rude...but...he was kinda good looking.
Okay, he was good looking. Tori had just realised that when she'd been next to him in english, in the library...but she didnt like it. Why did she have to like him? No, she didnt like him...she...tolerated him? Would it so bad if she paired up with him in health. Yes, they could be discussing sexual health but as much as he was annoying...he was funny. She was taking her mom's advice, but at the same time she wanted to try Hanna's advice out.
Tori had never been out there, and maybe this was her chance to not be silent. She only had three classes tomorrow, and then study periods..then free periods. First two was cooking with Michael in her class.
She would see if he said anything to her...she was decent enough to give him a chance.
