A week had passed and Seungmin had been smiling so much that his cheeks were sore.

After kissing on the rooftop, Chan had taken his hand and walked him all the way to his car. On arrival, Chan had made a passing comment about wanting to be titled the better kisser, before he'd then grabbed his waist, spun him on his heels, giggled into his mouth, and then kissed him softly once again until Seungmin was going weak and gripping tight for support. When his work was clearly done, he'd teasingly pulled back leaving Seungmin breathless and dying for another taste.

Seungmin's heart felt like it could explode at any moment; while their kisses were light and sweet they held so much weight and character, and he felt blessed he could finally see Chan up close. Chan was playful, teasing and bashful all at once, and, although he was bold, mature, distinctively older, he was also evidently boyish and shy when it came to matters of the heart. It made Seungmin feel special knowing that Chan wasn't going to rush things just because he was older. He was taking things slow, and it was refreshing.

After Chan left, Seungmin had sat himself inside the safety of his car, gripped the steering wheel and let out a ridiculous yet happy scream. He'd then quickly messaged the number Jeongin had given him so Chan could save his number. In reply Chan had sent him two hearts and a photo of himself eating ice cream, telling him he could use the photo for his icon.

It was the first photo of many.

The following day, Chan had sent him a picture of himself in bed; messy hair, shirtless and pouting cutely, and asked him if he was having a good morning.

It had been 8:30am and Seungmin had been peacefully sleeping right up until that message came through. But he wasn't about to tell Chan that, so instead he snapped a photo of himself, still rugged up in Chan's hoodie he'd boldly slept in, and told the older, his morning was "better now that I'm talking to you." Seungmin also consequently screamed into his pillow at now owning a half-naked photo of the older boy and created a folder on his phone titled "Channie <3".

Sending photos back and forth with Chan was very much a new thing; he'd never bantered with any boys he liked like this. But he liked it, he loved it, and soon he was sending more photos of himself, wondering if Chan was saving them to a folder just like he was.

As more photos were exchanged, Seungmin began to uncover and learn new things about the older boy.

Seungmin had found out Chan likes fried chicken, gaming online, running, going to the gym (sometimes with his mum and brother) and watching reruns of old sitcoms. He also learnt that the guitar he'd noticed in the corner of the olders room wasn't just for show. Chan actually knew how to play it and even wrote music for the indie college band he was in too.

Chan was smart, hot, athletic, and most importantly he was just as smitten as Seungmin was. But Seungmin couldn't help being reminded that despite their very evident feelings, they weren't official yet. They'd only scraped the surface of their relationship; and after their three dates they had to make a decision about their future, and then one of them, or both, had to talk to Jeongin to make sure he was ok with them being together, that he was ok with them going deeper. Without his approval Seungmin was sure, even with their evident feelings, that their relationship would go no further.

Nevertheless, Seungmin saw their forthcoming dates as an opportunity to get to know Chan, and to give them both the opportunity to ensure they were definitely compatible.

Seungmin was sure he could kiss Chan till the cows came home, but there was more to a relationship than just kissing. To ensure their relationship stood the test of time, they had to click on a personal level and they had to find a balance between their very different lives.
