With time the ranch began to settle into more permanence. With the newly wed couple snug in their cabin and John and his family in one just adjacent to his, uncle settling in the guest room there.
Mary-Beth, Tilly, and Sadie set one up for themselves, each a room. They managed as Mary-Beth and Sadie stayed and Tilly got married to a lawyer and was now expecting soon. Karen had left but due to her isolation with alcoholism, Yn found her in the streets of Blackwater and pulled her back and gave her Tilly's old room. Charles had moved up north to Canada to start a family and Lenny got his own small cabin, he managed to get a girlfriend that seemingly became closer and closer to a wife.
Everyone did their part for the ranch and farm and some less so, but brought money in turn for it. That is except for uncle it seemed.
Javier and Bill were nowhere to be found. They had escaped law that night and hadn't made an appearance since. But it's only been a year...so perhaps that wasn't so surprising.
Dutch was held up in a federal prison, he was due to hang in a few days. Yn initially wanted to show for it, but Arthur talked her out of it that revenge was a fools game, and that he didn't want all that stress for the baby they were having.
Lastly, John finally proposed for Abigail on a boat..he used Arthur's old ring from Mary, which benefitted them both. Because Arthur no longer wanted to hold onto it, nor did he want to throw it out, passing it to John to correct a broken relationship now saved was perfect for the two. It helped mend the feeling between him and his son who was only 5...
The gang, in a way, stuck together mostly. The ideals and moral compass remained the same minus robbing and they got their own little slice of "Tahiti" or their western paradise.
It had been only a few weeks after the wedding and her and Arthur had began to gallop off into the land. Arthur had offered her a hand and she had gladly taken it. They reached the busy city of Saint Denis...Arthur was stabling up their horses.
"Lettin' bourban and Dana take a break huh?" Yn asked curiously.
"Well sure, we don't need 'em where we're going." He chortled.
"They're gonna get fat sweetheart." She shook her head knowingly.
"Then you'll just have to break her back in when we get back." He said so matter of factly. They had walked arm in arm all the way to the docks where they aboarded a boat.
They had made their way to the top as Yn leaned on the rail looking off into the glittery sea, the sun perfectly perched on the horizon. Arthur had joined her side looking off.
"Goddamnit Morgan tell me where you are taking me!" Yn exclaimed, shoving her husband playfully.
"Be careful woman I might just throw you in that there water-" he threatened in her ear, making the hair stand on her neck.
"Now hold on a second you can't do that to your own baby-" she pouted. He shook his head and leaned down to her stomach,
"Forgive me, child, for your mother has been a nasty woman to me-" he apologized. She laughed,
"Oh- now that ain't fair!" He stayed in character,
"Look, I'll just have to make my condolences to you after I deal with the lady-" he negotiates.
"That lady is your wife!" She shook her head playfully.
"My wife...you can say it again and it still don't sound quite true yet." He chuckled solemnly looking out as his ocean blue eyes met with the water itself as the breeze blew in his hair.
