Alice pov:I didn't even notice okay na pala ang lahat okay na pero kami ni isa parang umiikot lang kami sa iisang kwarto, ni hindi ko malaman kung ano kami...
Araw araw nalang nasa isipan ko baka bumalik siya kay ate what am I gonna do?
Hindi ko masabi sa kanya anong tunay Kong nararamdaman kase, I don't know
She's so protective at me every time male-late akong umuwi galing municipal shes on the way sa samahan ako umuwi, natutuwa nga ako sa kanya..
And when I look on to her eyes, it's really sincere mahal niya talaga ako.
Yet, she was always there, a constant, reassuring presence. Every time I was late coming home from the Municipal Office, she'd be waiting, a beacon of concern and affection. It was sweet, her worry, and I found myself strangely comforted by her presence. When I looked into her eyes, I saw a sincerity that warmed me, a genuine love that resonated deep within my soul.
There was this one time, after I'd spent the evening with my secretary, a meeting in BGC that had somehow morphed into a late-night dinner. She'd raised her voice, a rare occurrence, and before she could fully unleash her fury, I'd slapped her. Jealousy had gripped me, an irrational, consuming fire that burned at the thought of anyone else sharing a moment with her, man or woman.
"San ka galing?" she'd asked, her voice sharp with suspicion, as I stood in front of my house. It was almost 2 am, but she'd waited for me, her anxiety evident in every line of her face.
"BGC. Why?" I'd replied, slightly tipsy, but still aware of my surroundings. The heat of her gaze was enough to sober me up, though.
"What did you do there?" she'd asked, her grip tightening on my arm as she took my bag from me, her eyes searching mine, trying to decipher my every move.
"Just hung out ," I'd said, trying to sound nonchalant, but the guilt in my eyes must have betrayed me.
"Come inside. We need to talk," she'd said, her voice firm, her hand guiding me towards the house.
She led me to my room, her presence a comforting weight beside me. I couldn't walk straight, so I sat on the bed and lay down, closing my eyes. I felt her gentle touch, removing my heels, her touch a balm to my weary soul. She sat beside me, her warmth a soothing presence.
"Why are you still mad at me?" she'd asked, her voice soft, her fingers tapping gently against my arm, a silent plea for understanding.
I sat up, my gaze drawn to the vanity mirror, unable to meet her gaze. I was a mess of emotions, torn between anger and fear, jealousy and love.
As I reached for my earrings and necklace, she stood behind me, her arms wrapping around my waist. She leaned into my neck, her warmth a soft embrace.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have yelled at you," she whispered, her breath warm against my ear, her voice a soft caress that soothed my troubled heart.
"I'm sorry too," I replied, my voice a soft murmur, my gaze fixed on my reflection in the mirror. I was a mess, a tangled web of emotions, but in her arms, I felt a sense of peace.
"I love you," she whispered again, her voice barely a whisper, her words a balm to my soul. She always said those three words, but I never responded. The fear of admitting my feelings, the fear of losing her, had always held me back. But this time, I couldn't hold back anymore.
"I love you too," I said, my voice a whisper, my gaze fixed on my reflection in the mirror. I could feel her warmth, her love enveloping me. I turned to face her, seeing her in the mirror, her eyes filled with tears.
"You know how much I love you. Why did you wait so long to say it? I was waiting for your answer. I love you so much, Alice," she whispered, her voice choked with emotion, her words a symphony of love and longing.
I felt a surge of love for her, a love that had been simmering beneath the surface, finally bursting forth. I reached for her face, my fingers tracing the contours of her cheek. She leaned into my touch, her eyes meeting mine, her love reflected in their depths.
As I looked into her eyes, I saw a vulnerability that mirrored my own. Her love was raw, unfiltered, and it touched a part of me I never knew existed. She was my everything. Her love was a refuge, a sanctuary, a love that filled me with a sense of belonging I'd never known before.
"I love you," I whispered again, my voice a soft murmur, and then I leaned down and kissed her, a slow, tender kiss that expressed the depths of my feelings. Her lips met mine, a soft response, a promise of a love that would last a lifetime.
I held her close, my heart overflowing with a love I never thought I could feel. I had found my home in her arms, a love that was strong enough to withstand any storm, any doubt, any fear. And in that moment, I knew that I would never let her go.
