Alice:
Nasampal ko siya kagabi , i didn't mean it dahil mahal ko siya hindi ko kayang pakawalan ang asawa ko ng ganon ganon lang kahit anong gawin ko bastat huwag lang mawala si risa saakin
The legal papers lay on the table, stark and cold. It was Risa's handwriting on the divorce petition, her elegant script a mockery of the love I still held for her. I traced the lines of her signature with my finger, the paper cold against my skin, mirroring the icy dread that had gripped my heart.
“Risa,” I whispered, my voice cracking. “Please, don’t do this ,diba you told me nung kasal naten mahal na mahal mo ako?”
She stood in the center of the room, arms crossed, the faint scent of jasmine clinging to her like a ghost of the woman I once knew. Her eyes, usually pools of molten gold, were hard and distant.
“Ano ba huwag mo ng balikan ang dati” she said, her voice devoid of warmth. “We’re not what we used to be.”
“I know, I know I messed up. I kissed Doña, but it was just a moment of—of…” I searched for the right words, but there were none. My betrayal was unforgivable, I knew that.
“It doesn’t matter, Alice. You’ve broken our trust ”
The words slammed into me like a physical blow. Her words, her coldness, ripped at the very fabric of my being. I was lost without her, adrift in a sea of my own making.
“ I’ll do anything. I’ll… I’ll make things right.” My voice choked with unshed tears.
“There’s nothing to make right, Alice. You’re asking me to pretend we’re happy when we’re not.”
“Pero mahal kiya Risa! I want to make us happy. Please, give me another chance. We can get through this.”
“We’re not meant to be, Alice.”
The finality in her voice was crushing. I was left with a hollow ache in my chest, a void where Risa’s love used to reside.
Desperate to salvage what remained of our love, I clung to her. “I’ll do anything, Risa. Anything to prove I love you.”
And then, I offered the only solution I could think of. A solution that I hoped would mend our broken bond.
“Diba gusto mong mag kaanak ? We’ll have a child, Hon. I’ll have a child for you. Through IVF. We’ll be a family. We’ll have a fresh start mahal kita alam mo yan”
".............." shes speechless
napahawak nalang siya sa kanyang ulo
Tumayo ako sa kinauupuan ko at yumakap ako sa kanyang likuran
"Im always By your side " bulong ko sa kanya
The words hung heavy in the air. The silence that followed was deafening. I could see the flicker of surprise in Risa’s eyes, followed by a hesitant glimmer of hope.
It felt like a victory. Maybe, just maybe, this could be our way back.

Siyam na buwan akong nagdadalang-tao.
Parang isang habambuhay na paghihirap at pagnanais ng pagmamahal parin ng asawa ko
