Alice :

"Morning…" a woman breathy whisper tickled my ear.

“Hmm, babe, what do you want for breakfast?” I mumbled, my eyes still closed, trying to sound casual, trying to pretend this was normal.

Baka ma-lelate na naman to sa Municipal pag di ako nagluto

“Really?” Her voice, sharp, edged with that familiar, infuriating sarcasm.  I could practically feel her smirk , pero hindi ko pa namumulat ang mga mata ko

“Yap, what do you want?” I nodded, my response automatic, my brain still struggling to fully wake up.

“Ikaw.”  The single word hung in the air, heavy with unspoken meaning, a blatant suggestion that sent a shiver of unease down my spine.

Ang kapal ng mukha!

umagang umaga

My eyes snapped open. A small hand, tiny fingers wrapped around mine.

Putangina.

fvckk !!!!this is not Donya

Sevi. And beside him, Risa, a smirk playing on her lips, a smirk that said she knew exactly what was going on, a smirk that tasted of victory.

Nakalimutan ko na naman.  The sickening realization hit me like a punch to the gut.

I looked at her, the playful smirk twisting into something colder, more calculating.  Her eyes, usually sparkling with a playful mischief, now held a chilling glint of satisfaction.

“Ah… so- s… hindi, nakalimutan ko lang, I thought you were my wife,” I stammered, scrambling to sit up, my heart hammering a frantic rhythm against my ribs.

Sa dinami dami ng makakalimutan ko fiancé ko pa talaga

Ang tanga-tanga ko!

Sevi’s tiny hand twitched. He stirred, his sleep disturbed.

  Ay, gising na pala.

“Oh really, Mrs. Hontiveros?” Risa’s voice dripped with condescending amusement, her eyebrow arched in a mocking question.

Muka mo Mrs. Tesoro nako noh!

“You didn’t tell me, kusinera ka pala niya.”  dagdag pa niya

"kusinera,"??Iniinsulto mo ba ako?? a

    Seriously?

  Ang kapal ng mukha niya!

Gawain ko yan noh !as donya's fiance

My fists clenched. The urge to grab the heavy nightstand beside me and hurl it at her was almost overwhelming.

But Sevi was watching, his innocent eyes wide with confusion, his small brow furrowed in a silent plea for understanding.  I couldn’t risk frightening him.

sa harap pa talaga ng bata

“Kusinera mo mukha mo,” pabulong na sabi ko , pero parang narinig ng babae na to

“What did you say?” Risa’s voice was dangerously low, a growl barely contained, the icy fury in her tone a clear indication that she wasn't going to let this slide.

wala sabi ang pangit mo pala pag bagong gising!

Sevi was fully awake now, his innocent eyes taking in the scene, his small brow furrowed in concern.  He sensed the tension, the unspoken conflict hanging heavy in the air.

“Mommy up, Morning,” he mumbled, his small voice filled with a sleepy sweetness that tugged at my heartstrings. He reached for my shoulder, his small hand seeking the familiar comfort of my touch.
