An artifact of near total illiteracy is the spiritual calendar being reset each year.

Seems long past the time of near total literacy that a few commands the many when it is more appropriate that a few, temporarily in command, be supervised by the many.

Of course, there is an expanse of selective ignorance across the many encouraged by different collections of few in order to maintain certain benefits for themselves.

Normally, we call those few national leaders.

Wouldn't it be more beneficial for the many if spiritual guidance be directed to the areas of secular culture needing some adjustment?

No one with influence in secular culture can be trusted to make the necessary changes to secular culture so that all of us benefit rather than a selected few since such changes would undermine the ability of the few to influence secular culture.

Something new has to appear in order to make those changes.

It can't be vulnerable to the whims of secular culture.

Must be a source of influence separate from secular culture.

Has existed since the time of the 'Way' but has been successfully undermined for two millennia and counting.

We have an opponent whom we've never opposed successfully despite everything we've been given.

He crushed the Roman empire once it stood in his way, destroying proto-Christianity completely.

Establishing his way which remains strong to this day despite the creation of spiritual canon.

Allowing the few to dictate how we rule ourselves doesn't work, gives the enemy too many ways to counter God's will.

Only rule of the many has the ability to challenge the enemy.

But that is not enough to beat Satan.

Two things are required: 1. allow Christ in your heart, 2. follow God's path.

Praying for God's favor is the first step: the other steps are following God's will.

The 'Way' created the means to beat Satan but those means must be wielded.

It requires many congregations to wield those means and change secular cultural for the benefit of the many and the scrutiny of the few who make the changes.

Terrible times are coming there is a lesson to be learned.

Celebrate the time when the lesson is learned.
