It's a late November morning in London, and I slowly wake up to the soft, rhythmic patter of rain against the window. I rise from bed and tiptoe into the kitchen, where the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee surrounds me as I set the coffee machine to work. I then focus on breakfast, picturing a perfect stack of fluffy pancakes.

As I pour the batter onto the sizzling skillet, the door swings open with a gentle creak. A tiny figure bursts in—she's four years old, with wild red curls dancing around her shoulders and sparkling blue eyes fixed on me. "Daddy, what are you doing? Let's go wake up mommy! It's cuddle time!" Her soft voice breaks the silence.

"Whoa! You caught me!" I exclaim, feigning a gasp of shock and widening my eyes in mock terror. She bursts into laughter, and I feel a warmth spread through me as I can't help but chuckle, caught up in her joyful enthusiasm.

She runs toward me and wraps her small arms around my leg. I lean down and plant a gentle kiss on her forehead. "Good morning, my beautiful girl! How about we let mommy sleep a little longer and make a surprise breakfast for her instead?" I whisper playfully.

She nods, and her face lights up with a radiant smile as I scoop her into my arms. Balancing her with one arm, I skillfully flip the pancakes with the other, filling our kitchen with warmth and the delicious aroma of the cooking.

She leans in closer, planting a warm kiss on my cheek and giggles, "Daddy, you're so strong!"

I chuckle, ruffling her hair playfully. "Nah, you're just too small!"

With a grin, I set her down. "Alright, the pancakes are ready! Let's grab the maple syrup and some berries!"

As I swing open the fridge door, I suddenly feel soft arms wrap around my waist from behind. A tender kiss on the nape of my neck sends delightful shivers down my spine. "Good morning, babe," her whisper on my neck giving me goosebumps.

With a warm smile, I pivot to face her, wrapping my arms around her tightly. "Hey, I didn't mean to wake you, I am sorry—"

Before I can finish, she silences me with a sudden, sweet kiss. As she pulls back, her gaze locks onto mine. "Don't apologize, my angel," she whispers softly. "I woke up because the bed felt too empty without you two. I had to find out where my two loves had vanished to." Arya laughs lightly, drawing our daughter closer and wrapping us all in a cozy hug that feels like a real home.

"Let me help you with this; you've done an amazing job so far!" She leans in, inhaling the sweet aroma of the pancakes. "But I can't let you finish them all alone," she adds playfully, grinning as she begins to pour syrup generously over the fluffy stacks.

"You really don't want to let me spoil you, do you?" I playfully remark, stepping closer and handing her a bowl of fresh berries.

"Mommy, daddy loves you so much! He wanted to make a surprise for you!" our little daughter giggles, her eyes sparkling with delight.
