Xavier's POV

I've never seen Ana so desperate before. Her fingers dig into my arm, gripping me tightly as if she fears I might slip away, and I can feel the raw anxiety radiating from her. It's a palpable tension that seeps into my bones, tightening my muscles in response. I'm completely worn out; every muscle in my body aches, and I feel like I'm on the edge of collapse. The pain feels almost unbearable, yet Ana's sheer determination pushes me forward. She won't let go, her resolve acting as a strange, fragile motivation amidst my exhaustion.

After what feels like an eternity of frantic searching and sprinting through a dimly lit area, we finally arrive at our car. It seems like a beacon of safety in this chaos.
I lean slowly on the car's door as Ana gives me a bottle of water to clean my hands while she hysterically rummages through her bag, desperately seeking the first aid kit.

I watch her, my heart racing, as the shadows of worry play across her face, each fleeting second filled with urgency as she searches for something to stop my bleeding

I watch her, my heart racing, as the shadows of worry play across her face, each fleeting second filled with urgency as she searches for something to stop my bleeding.

She carefully lifts my shirt, its fabric now stained in a deep crimson red from the once pristine white it used to be. Her fingers move with a gentle precision as she dabs disinfectant onto my side, the cool liquid contrasting against my heated skin. The antiseptic scent fills the air, while she expertly tends to the still heavily bleeding wound, ensuring it's cleaned before bandaging it up.

The stinging pain is unbeareble as I feel her applying with pressure some layers of clean bandages to my injury.. I bite on my wrist until I leave a deep mark engraved into my skin, I'm doing my best to keep my quiet cries to myself, but I think a few of them slipped out.

"Just a bit more, I know it hurts but I have no choice" Her shaking voice attempts to comfort me while I avoid looking into her eyes, trying to hide the discomfort I'm experiencing.

"The bullet is still in there, I can't do much, you need immediate medical care but I have no idea how to reach the agency!" she exclaims, her voice trembling with fear. Tears stream down her cheeks, a clear reflection of the desperation she feels rising within her.
"I don't know how to drive this car, and honestly, I'm pretty sure you aren't able to do it this time either," she cries as panic washes over her. The weight of the situation feels tormenting and she can't gain her composure anymore.

Ana's POV

My mind feels so overwhelmed right now, consumed by the fear of this never-ending nightmare. I struggle to collect my thoughts and find any sense of calm, especially knowing he's in such a fragile state. My heart is heavy with pain, and I can't shake the feeling that his suffering is a result of my inattention. It hurts to realize how deeply this affects me, and I just wish I could turn back time to focus better on my own safety.

As I lean him on the backseat, I try to keep my composure as I lift his shirt. I was incredibly eager to do that, to touch him, but not under these terrifying circumstances. The gentle, flawless texture of his tummy is incredibly alluring, however, I swiftly snap back to reality as I catch sight of his terrible bleeding wound that pulls me out of my thoughts and makes my blood freeze in my veins.
