Even though the message she sent was supposed to be a joke, Hyunjoo was actually shaking a little out of nervousness- and she hadn't even taken a step inside the building yet. She desperately tried to calm herself down, but meeting the people she has admired for so long made it hard not to panic.
As she was getting closer to the back entrance, she frantically scanned around. Her eyes landed on the figure dressed in a simple white tee and black cargo pants seconds later, a cap and mask to cover his face.
Jeongin was staring down at his phone, watching as his members blew up their group chat out of excitement, before his eyes flickered up. When he saw Hyunjoo approaching him, he quickly slid the device into his pocket, immediately going to meet the nervous girl half way. They greeted each other with a smile before a brief chuckle fell from his lips. He found her expression cute, despite the visible stress she was experiencing. Without a word, he took hold of the bags she was carrying in her hands.
"I can carry them."
Hyunjoo quickly chased after the boy that started leading the way, clearly pretending not to hear her. She fell into step with him before her hand latched onto the bag closest to her, lightly tugging it.
"It's fine, I got it," Jeongin assured, withdrawing his hand from her reach.
"At least let me carry one," she insisted, taking hold of the bag once more.
He looked over at her before willingly trading off the bag from his hand to hers, causing her lips to curve up a little at her success. Once they reached the entrance, Jeongin scanned his ID against the keypad and punched in the code. He opened the door for her right after, allowing the girl to enter first. She thanked him before moving past him and going inside. The rush of fluorescent lights greeted her as her eyes adjusted to the change in environment. Jeongin started to lead the way shortly after, and Hyunjoo was quick to follow him.
She started to look around, eyes scanning the building out of pure curiosity, as she tried to make sense of her surroundings. There was a giggly feeling bubbling in her body, one that made her feel like this was all just some dream she was having. It seemed surreal that she was even inside the building she'll often pass by to get to the café, one that contained all the idols she admired for years now.
However, the more she looked around, the more she became aware of the eyes that followed her. Eyes bore into her as she walked beside Jeongin, a whisper or two being exchanged every so often. She could feel her anxiety start to grow before her eyes dropped to the ground, hoping to avoid the overbearing stares. Her mind started to spin, causing her to lose focus. As she was about to continue walking, Jeongin's hand latched onto her wrist.
