ARIKA

"You shouldn't have gone with have gone with him," Zorge told me. There was apprehension in his eyes. He was unsure if he could trust my words, which hurt a lot. But more than that, he acted like I was in control of the situation back there.

I was already pissed at him for snatching me away from Yvune right when it seemed like he was about to spill some beans. However, he was too hot-headed to hear anything I had to say at the moment.

"What do you suggest I should've done to make him stop?" I couldn't help but ask him.

"Why? Use your wits the same way you used them to fool us," Zorge incited. For a moment, I couldn't believe that he used it against me in this manner and in a situation like this. It felt like I was again arguing with one of my exes on something stupid, but it wasn't really stupid this time.

Dragon or not, it seemed like the males behaved the same way in all species. I wanted to curse him out, but I couldn't find any words, despite being a pirate. I was speechless for a moment... because it hurt—a lot.

It was again a reminder that he wasn't over it yet and wouldn't put it past me no matter what. He had the right to be pissed about it, but at the same time, everything felt unfair to me. It wasn't like I hadn't tried, and all they did was keep me in the dark.

I was done with this. It had been only a few days since my marking, but I was already so fucking done with him and the others. I just wanted to return to my ship, sail to the middle of nowhere and spend my days alone, floating aimlessly. It made me homesick and, if anything, made me feel worse. I blinked tears, missing the sea all of a sudden.

"You know what? Fuck you and your damned brother! I'm out!" I cursed him, and this time, I wasn't lying. I was indeed done with their hot and cold behaviour. I couldn't put up with this anymore. I felt guilty for taking advantage of them, but he was being unfair to me this time.

Zorge's eyes widened for a second, and a look of hurt crossed his face. It pinched at my heart and made me want to apologise to him immediately, but I wouldn't do that anymore. I was done apologising. I couldn't keep apologising forever if they didn't want to forgive me in the first place.

"What did you just say?" Even though I'd cursed out Zorge, Radrox was the one to respond. I froze, and it was the first time I had noticed his presence in the room. For a moment, I wanted to bang my head on the wall because I knew he wouldn't let me get away with it, but that didn't mean I wouldn't try to escape this matter.

"What are you doing here?" I hissed at Radrox. He was standing at the door, wearing his signature surly look on his scary face. I felt the weight of his gaze as he stared me down, his jaw clenched.

"What did you say about me and my brother?" Radrox asked instead, stepping into the room and closing the rood behind him. My breath hitched, but I tried to maintain calm as I took a few steps back.

"I said nothing!" I hissed. "Why did you have to barge in right now?" I knew my words didn't distract him enough because, if anything, his face hardened, and his scars looked more menacing. A shiver ran down my spine.

"I asked you something, pet," Radrox growled, stalking towards me like I was his prey. I looked at Zorge, hoping he'd step in and rescue me, but who was I kidding? Zorge remained in his place, watching me darkly with his arms crossed over his chest. He looked rather amused to see me getting cornered by his brother.

This hurt me even more. I realised I had my back against the wall and couldn't do anything. Any sane person in my place would have shut their mouth and handled this situation better, but I wasn't sane.

"I said you and your brother could go to hell!" I told him, seething, feeling on the verge of exploding. Radrox's eyes blazed red at my words, and Zorge gave a cold laugh.

"Did you hear that? So feisty," Zorge said darkly. "It seems like she didn't learn well from her previous lessons,"

I could only clench my jaw and glare at them because I knew saying anything more would worsen the situation. I was already in a lot of trouble. I couldn't get into any more trouble, right?

Wrong.

"Then let today be the most important lesson for her," Radrox said, taking off his cloak. I shuddered, but not due to fear but because of anticipation for something else... something darker and carnal.

"What are you going to do with me?" I asked, breathing hard. It felt like my heart was going to dig itself out of my chest.

"You'll find out in time," Radrox answered darkly, stalking towards me. "But first, tell me what made you say that?"

"Oh, you can't guess?" I spat back. I should've kept quiet, but I couldn't. I liked trouble. I lived for it. Radrox grabbed my face in a flash, and my breath hitched.

"Answer me, pet," He demanded. I hated how my body reacted to his touch immediately. Heat gathered between my legs, starting a low pulse of need. I could tell that Radrox knew it because his nostrils flared, and his eyes flashed gold for a split second.

I hated all of it, but oh, I loved it too. I loved that I had the same effect on him. He was as much the prisoner of the undying and burning need that I felt due to the bond. And he was aware of it, too. He tugged at my collar hard to get back at me, making me stumble into him.

"Start speaking, or I'll make you speak," Radrox warned darkly.

"Make me speak," I hissed back at him, inviting my demise. But oh... I was more than ready for it. I'd been craving it ever since he fucked my mouth ruthlessly and his brother teased me with his cock. If this was the way I was going to get them to fuck me, then be it because that was all I needed at the moment. I couldn't help it. It felt like an itch that needed to be scratched, and the longer I didn't scratch it, the worse it felt.

"I'll make you cry by the time I'm done," Radrox promised darkly instead.
