ARIKA
I wanted to puke my guts out when Radrox's dragon freed me from its claws. My head spun because it was the roughest flight I'd ever had. I flew with Ivret the last time and could finally see how gentle he'd been.
Radrox was flying as if he was dodging a hundred missiles per minute. I almost lost my senses by the time Radrox stopped with his antiques. But then he did a sudden dive for landing, making me scream at the top of my lungs.
I couldn't help but notice how smug he looked after landing and phasing back into his humanoid form. I glared at him while trying to keep my breakfast contents down my throat. It was taking me a huge effort. However, Ivret came to my rescue instantly and gave me something that made the flight sickness disappear instantly.
After my senses recovered from the rough flight, I noticed we were on top of the mountains I could see from the castle amidst the storm. We were waiting outside what looked like the ruins of a castle. I didn't understand what we were doing there.
However, Ivret explained briefly that Zorge had gone inside to ensure the teleporter was still working and safe to use. Radrox followed his brother inside shortly after landing, leaving me alone with Ivret.
I wanted to ask many questions but kept quiet because I was still mad at Ivret. He'd followed me to my bedroom last night and urged me to let him feed me, but I'd sent him away. In response, he was avoiding me this morning. The only times he talked to me were delivering my breakfast, giving me a potion so I wouldn't die in this cold, and curing my flight sickness.
The silence between us got increasingly awkward with every passing minute. Thankfully, Zorge and Radrox returned soon before hauling everything inside the ruins. I was deeply intrigued to find out how they used a teleporter and what it looked like in the first place.
I was expecting some hole in the wall like some Harry Potter shit, but instead, there was a massive statue of a gargoyle with glowing eyes. I stared at it, frowning while the three dragons arranged the boxes around the statue.
"Take a deep breath and hold it," Zorge told me before I could ask any question about how this would work. I'd merely taken a deep breath when darkness engulfed me, and it seemed like I was falling.
I forgot what Zorge had said to me and screamed out loud. After the fear of heights, the fear of falling was the most prevalent for me. I could swim in the deep, dark ocean on a pitch-black night, not knowing what kind of monsters lurked under me in the water, but heights and falling were things I couldn't get used to.
However, the feeling of falling ended as soon as it started, and I found myself in Radrox's arms when I opened my eyes. He looked annoyed as I stopped screaming and stared at him, stunned. The feeling of sickness returned, and before Ivret could help me, I puked over Radrox's fur cloak.
Well, I did say I'd make him pay.
Radrox's eyes widened, and he almost looked sick of my puke, but an unfamiliar voice addressed him before he could say anything.
"You're Radrox va'rin Saski. What is that thing?" I noticed a dragon— a female dragon staring at Radrox and me with a look of disgust. She wore a flowy dress that was almost translucent. I tried not to stare at her tits too long, but I couldn't help. It wasn't every day one got to see dragon tits.
Beside her, a scroll floated in the air. The female dragon wore a glass in one of her eyes as she gave me a judgmental look. She looked at me as if I was less than the dust beneath her feet.
"She's our pet," Radrox replied, and the judgmental look deepened on the female dragon's face.
"I'm not surprised," she muttered, flicking her wrist at the scroll. That was when I noticed a floating quill that instantly began scribbling on the scroll.
"Furnish her identification," The female said in a dignified voice but maintained a judgemental look.
"She doesn't have one yet," Radrox said.
"Then she shall not pass," The dragon lady dismissed us immediately.
"Wait," Radrox growled. "The Empress has summoned her along with me, Zorge va'rin Saski and Lord Ivret va'rin Kalaz. Haven't they arrived yet?" Radrox asked, but I was too busy thinking about their last names. I'd failed to grasp them, though I noticed he addressed Ivret as a Lord. And also his last name, Kalaz. Callath had called Ivret that before shit blew up.
"Seems like—"
The dragon lady was interrupted by a crackling sound, and Zorge and Ivret were standing behind her in the blink of an eye. However, they looked utterly unphased after being transported.
"I have a scroll mentioning her. It bears the Empress' seal," Ivret spoke up instantly. The dragon lady looked confused for a second, but as soon as she read the scroll from Ivret, she shut up and let us pass.
"Did she do that?" Zorge asked when he noticed the puke over Radrox's fur coat.
"No. He puked over himself. Seems like he got some travelling sickness," I told Zorge after Radrox set me down to help Ivret with the boxes. Zorge barked a laugh.
"He surely does," Zorge said, getting a glare from Radrox. What followed next was mostly a blur. I was suddenly tired, and I couldn't help but wonder if it was because of the rough fight with Radrox and then being transported to this place. Maybe, there was something odd in the air. I couldn't tell.
After we left the teleporting station, it was time to fly again. This time, Ivret was the one who carried me, and it made me realise again that he was the gentlest flyer. I still felt sick due to the flight but not as much as before. For once, I even got to notice the floating buildings.
They called this place Cerdosa—the dragon realm.
Though the main city was set on the ground, some buildings floated in the sky. It all looked like I was on some acid trip. And the fact that I was tired and on the verge of passing out didn't help me pay attention to other details.
The last thing I remembered before passing out of exhaustion was landing on one of the floating buildings.
