RADROX

Even though all three of us had marked her, Arika was still a big mystery to us. Well, at least for me. I've been trying to uncover more about her since she entered our lives. However, she always seemed to find a way to twist things earlier, but now that she appeared to be in a talkative mood, I decided to get everything straight from her.

Even though I still doubted her. She might as well be lying to me, but I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. She seemed sincere when she apologised to me. I saw the guilt in her eyes and even heard it in her voice. My dragon wanted to forgive her already, but the cautious side of me still had some reservations about her.

Maybe she was saying the truth after all, and I wanted to believe that she was saying the truth. I hoped she was telling the truth. Otherwise, I'd be broken forever. She had already ruined me beyond repair. I'd hate her more if this were another of her betrayals, but that wouldn't change the fact that she'd still belong to us. No matter what, she was ours now.

"Tell me more," I demanded, keeping her on my lap when she tried to get off. I liked having her on my lap. I could tell that she could feel my cock between her thighs, but she didn't acknowledge it yet. It disappointed me, but at the same time, I was glad that she didn't because I wanted to talk to her.

Arika's eyes widened at my demand, and she shifted on my lap some more, rubbing against my cock and making me groan.

"What do you want to know?" She asked, sounding somewhat breathless. I wondered if it was because she could feel my hardness so blatantly or if she was nervous about opening up. I could sense the tension in her. She didn't want to be vulnerable to me.

"Tell me why you don't get along with your sister," I said, shifting back slightly so I could lean against the bed's headboard and be more comfortable under her. I rested my hands on her hips, unable to keep myself from touching her.

"I need something in return," I was surprised at her demand.

"What do you want?" I asked grimly. She leaned in and brushed her fingertips over the ugly scar on my face.

"I want to know how you got this," She said. Her voice was a whisper as she traced my scar with her fingertips. Her eyes flickered to my lips and remained there for a few seconds before flickering back to my eyes. I considered the deal for a moment.

"I will accept nothing but the truth," I told her upfront, and she nodded grimly.

"I won't lie," She promised. "I have no reason to lie to you,"

"I'll be the judge of that. Now, tell me about your sister. What happened with her?" Arika sighed deeply at my question and looked away briefly.

"We never got together from the beginning. She's not even human," Arika replied. Her eyes were unfocused, as if she was deep in her thoughts.

"What is she then?" I asked.

"She's a wolf,"

"You only share one parent," I noted. This wasn't odd for us, but she seemed unhappy about it.

"Yes, we only shared a mother. I always hated it," A dark look shrouded over Arika's face.

"Why?" I wondered out loud. Zorge and I had different fathers, but we got along well. Our mother had two bonds, and they worked out fine.

"It's not as common for humans to have multiple partners. It's frowned upon. This is more common in supernatural creatures. As far as I'm aware, my sister has two mates," The look on Arika's face darkened when she mentioned her sister and her mates.

"So you're not fond of having more than one partner?" I asked. If that was the case, did it mean she was unhappy in this setup? My jaw clenched.

"Not really... it's just that my mother was a terrible person. She neglected her children for her partners, who she kept changing like clothes."

"What about your sister? Why don't you two get along?" I asked again.

"Well," She sighed deeply. "I always harboured resentment for her because she was the reason our mother abandoned me and my twin brother to start a new life with her then-partner. I know my sister is not at fault, but I always resented her and our mother because my brother died when mother abandoned us. I'd have died too if they hadn't found me on time,"

I was surprised to hear about this. It took me a few seconds to process everything. If this was all true, then I had nothing but pure hatred for Arika's mother. I could never imagine something like this happening among our kind, and if one dared to abandon their children, the punishments were harsh. If anything, Arika's story proved that humans were the worst.

"Who are they?" I asked.

"People from a special orphanage," Arika answered with a haunted look. She almost shuddered when she mentioned that. "I spent most of my childhood there, and soon, our mother dropped my sister off as well. She was never seen or heard from after that."

"And you spent your childhood at the orphanage?" I asked.

"I did some years there but ran away at the age of thirteen," She said, her tone hardening and her body tensing.

"Why? Didn't they take care of you?" I asked.

"Well, it was a special kind of orphanage. They often invited witches and mages to use the children. I was their favourite test subject. For some reason, I could withstand everything they put me through. I didn't like the probing and poking, so I ran away," Arika said darkly, and it reminded me of Ivret and Zorge's claim that their powers refused to work on her. Maybe it was something related to that.

"What did they do to you?" I asked, feeling a surge of vengeance. I needed to know what they did to her so I could decide how I'd hunt them down and torture them.

Arika's unfocused eyes shifted back to me, and she straightened up.

"It's your turn now,"
