RADROX

I adjusted my hood, ensuring that no one could see my scared, ugly face. I hoped I could also hide my towering stature under the hood because it was attracting too much attention as I walked through the city that swarmed with humans and other creatures.

I hated them all, but I wasn't here for them today. I was here for that human female.

Arika.

She lied to us. She tarnished my image by lying that I hurt her. I was filled with rage the moment I'd figured this out.

At first, I'd been feeling incredibly guilty for hurting a female. It'd haunted me for days, and I couldn't sleep at night. It gnawed at me for some time, and to make it right, I went away to search for a way to cure her.

Only I realised that there was no cure for the bleeding between her legs. I'd learnt that human females bled every month when they failed to be with a child. It was normal for them, and yet... Arika never spoke up about it. She never told Ivret and Zorge that her bleeding was natural and I didn't have anything to do with her bleeding.

She never told them that I'd only given her pleasure and nothing else the night I stole her from the guard's room. She never told them how I'd laid her in my furs and licked that little nub better her legs for hours, pulling moans out of her lips.

Instead, she kept quiet while my brother and Ivret continued questioning my honour and marked me degenerate like the other red dragons.

The more I thought about this, the more it enraged me, but I had to give it to the female. She was smart. By making me go away, she found it easier to manipulate Ivret and Zorge and make them bring her to this side.

She'd planned this all along so she could run. I knew this.

That's why I followed Ivret and Zorge here when I noticed them crossing the sea early in the morning. I'd followed them in the city as they travelled in my old truck. I'd followed them to a huge building named Kersas City Hospital.

I searched for my truck among the other vehicles but didn't find it. I tried to pick up the scent of Ivret, Zorge or even Arika, but their scents were lost in the sea of other annoying scents here.

I lingered around the building, figuring out where they could've gone. I'd followed my truck here, but it was nowhere to be seen. I circled the massive building for any clue, but I found none.

When I reached the parking lot again, I found Zorge and Ivret lingering by some cars. I searched for Arika, but she was nowhere to be seen. I knew what this meant.

She'd been successful in running away, thanks to these two scaggermosh.

I clenched my jaw and headed towards them. Since I had a wide and towering stature, they noticed me right away. It could also be because I was wearing furs, unlike the other people in the parking lot.

"Radrox," Zorge said as soon as he saw me approaching them. "What are you doing here?" He asked.

"Where's the female?" I asked them back, and I got a grim silence in return. I grunted because I knew what their silence meant. "The two of you can't even look after a female," I hissed.

"Says the one who hurt her," Ivret growled back.

"She ran, Radrox. She told us she would see a healer and never returned," Zorge told me. His voice was hard, and his eyes were dark.

"And none of you followed her?" I questioned.

"We knew she was going to run. There was no stopping that," Zorge replied. "But before she did, I told her what would happen if we caught her,"

"I figured it out. She lied to us about the bleeding." I told them. For a second, both of them looked puzzled.

"What do you mean? She was bleeding between her legs. Both of us saw that with our own eyes," Ivret hissed. Zorge looked more puzzled.

"Your accusations kept haunting me, so I started looking. I came to this side to meet a Witch. She was human, too, and she told me that it was normal for human females to bleed every month when they weren't with a child," I told them as my rage continued to swell inside me.

Ivret and Zorge's eyes widened as soon as I told them about it. Zorge looked somewhat shocked, but rage filled his eyes instantly. Meanwhile, Ivret seemed to find it hard to process that the female had lied to him about her sickness.

I knew it'd hit him worse because he'd been working hard at curing her. Ivret was a perfectionist. I knew he must've blamed himself for being unable to heal that female.

That female had not only framed me, but she'd used them too, and this enraged me even more. I could start to see the realisation in their eyes. Ivret looked deeply hurt, but he still looked enraged. Ivret was usually a calm dragon, but his rage was cold and deadly.

Zorge was already seething and restless to find that female mirroring the storm that had been brewing inside me ever since I found out the truth about Arika's bleeding.

"I'm sorry, brother. I should've listened to my instincts. I knew something was amiss about all this," Zorge said, but I shook my head. I was somewhat angry at him for not believing me in the first place. That female had blinded us all for a moment, and now she was gone.

"Where is my truck?" I asked.

"We parked it there—" Zorge stopped abruptly when he couldn't locate the truck. He searched his pockets and cursed when he didn't find the keys.

"Not only did she lie to us, she stole from us as well," I growled. "I still can't believe you let her go,"

"We trusted her too much," Ivret said. His voice was deep and dark. "She blinded us with her sweet little games. I should've seen it from the beginning. It was all fake... she never meant any of it. She was always planning to leave,"

"Indeed she was." Zorge cursed at her while I seethed with rage silently.

"She wronged us all," I said, and both agreed.

"She lied to us," Ivret hissed.

"She used us," Zorge growled.

"But she'll never evade us," I gritted.
