【SEASON 6 EPISODE 14: PART TWO】
Jules needed a distraction for the last five minutes of panicking she was set to do before her fight with Zara. She couldn't just stand at the edge of the mat and watch as the audience piled in anymore. It was actually making me sick to her stomach.
So when Eli asked Jules if she wanted to go to the snack shop with her so he could buy himself and Demetri some nachos and soda, she just couldn't decline.
She sighed as she nervously bounced on her toes in line. The people in front of them in line just finished ordering and walked out of the line, making her and Eli move up.
Eli chuckled at Julianna's nervousness. He looked down at her with a small smile as he watched her trill her lips. "It's all gonna be okay. You just need to breathe and calm down." He reassured, turning to face the man behind the counter just as Jules snapped her head over to look up at him. "Hey, a nachos and two Dr. Peppers?"
Julianna stared at Eli like he had three heads, her eyes as wide as saucers. "Calm down?! Do you know who you're dating?" Jules spewed out in a hushed whisper.
Eli chuckled at the question, looking down at Jules as the worker behind the counter got his nachos and drinks. "Yes, I've been dating her for over a year now and I was friends with her for a decade before that." Eli said in a teasing tone to try and get his girlfriends mind off the fight.
His eyes moved to the worker and saw him adding cheese to the nachos. Eli turned his attention back to Jules and turned to face her completely. His head dipped a little so it was closer to hers and his hand gently grabbed the edge of her chin, making her meet halfway until their noses were touching.
"You're not giving yourself credit for how good you are. You can take Zara—you have taken her down!" Eli cheered, his eyebrows raising and a small laugh passing through his lips.
Jules didn't respond––only gulping at Eli's words as the anxiety in her stomach continued to churn. She felt a little sick from how nervous she was, but when a voice called her name, she was pulled out of her thoughts, her and Eli turning to look at who called her name.
Around twenty feet away was Bert and Anthony, the two younger boys having big smiles on their faces and posters in their hands. They raised their posters up and Jules giggled at their signs. Anthony held up a green sign with "JULES RULES" written in big, blue bubble letters while Bert held a yellow sign that had a cartoon image of a jewel with "OF THE VALLEY" next to it.
Eli smiled at not only the signs, but Julianna's reaction to them. Keeping his eyes on Bert and Anthony, Eli leaned toward Julianna's ear and pointed to the two boys. "Plus, you've got the whole valley on your side." He whispered.
