"Girls! The boys are here!"

Jules yelped at Andrea's yells from the living room of the Gomez home—almost messing up her eyeliner.

Tonight was senior prom and just like the year before, Eli made a cheesy little promposal for Julianna.

He got all of her friends involved. Eli got Moon to convince Julianna to go with her to the gym to watch the cheer teams new routine and when they walked in, all of Julianna's friends were lined up with roses in their hands and at the opposite end of the room was Eli in a tux with his own rose and a sign.

As Jules walked down her line of friends, she was a giggling mess. Her face burned as she took flowers from Nate, Mitch, Chris, Kenny, Devon, Anthony, and Yasmine. She started to feel her face hurting from how hard she was smiling when she took more flowers from Bert, Joey, Tory, and Sam. And she let out a small giggle as she took flowers from Demetri, Lexi, Miguel, and Robby.

Once she was standing face to face with Eli, Jules wasn't sure if she was breathing anymore. Her eyes scanned over his poster and somehow, her smile grew.

It was collage of photos of them at different ages.

There was a photo of them on the first grade field trip to the LA Zoo—the two of them were wearing matching panda hats with the hand warmers attached to the sides of them and they were sharing a dippin dots.

There was another photo of them from sixth grade on Halloween night. Jules was dressed as Pete the cat and Eli was Max from The Goofy Movie. It was a horribly taken photo on Lexi's part. The flash gave both of them intense red eyes and the camera was shaky. But Jules still giggled at it.

One of the last photos of the 20 some odd photos on the collage was taken just a few weeks prior. When Julianna won the Sekai Taikai.

She didn't know who took the photo—she didn't even know this photo existed—but she smiled at it.

Eli had his arms wrapped around her waist in the photo and he had her lifted in the air. Remembering that moment, Jules thought back to how Eli was spinning her. The photo was pretty clear considering that. They both had smiles on their faces that made her chest feel warm.

But what really got her was the words around all of the photos.

"All I need is you next to me... at prom"

Jules smiled the reference to the Taylor Swift song reference and accepted the promposal. She took the rose and poster out of Eli's hands, grabbed him by the collar of his tux and pulled him down into a kiss, smiling against his lips when all of her friends cheered around them.

And here she was now. Standing in Lexi's bedroom just minutes before prom.

She was wearing a long, teal, satin, spaghetti strap dress that just barely grazed the floor and she had her hair in a curly, half up-half down hairdo.
