Justin's P.O.V

There we sat in the hospital chair. We have not left this hospital at all in almost three weeks, and I'm about to lose my mind. But I know it's gotta be worse on Avalnna so if she can do it I can to. "No daddy!" Avalnna cried as Mufasa from the lion king was killed in the stampede and hid her face in my chest. I smiled lightly down at her. "It's okay sweetheart, it's just a movie." I chuckled at her. After a while she still had her face in my chest and then I started to feel my shirt getting wet. I pull her away slightly to see her with teary eyes. I furrow my eyebrows in confusion but hold her closer to me. "What's wrong princess? Why are you crying?" I asked her gently. "I don't want you to die daddy!" She sobbed. I froze. Die? Where did she get that from? "Baby, where did you get that from?" I asked her. "I don't want you to die daddy! And I don't want to die either!" She cried. "Baby, nobody is going to die alright? We're both gonna stay right here with each other forever and ever. I promise you angel." I whispered as I kissed her head. She sniffled and nodded. I look up when the door opened and see Madison standing there, a small smile on her face, but there was something to it. "Come on baby, go give Doctor Adam the picture you made for him then come straight in." I smiled at her. A huge smile made its way to her face and I laughed as I handed her the picture she drew and wrapped her wired around the IV stand and she grabbed it as she walked out. "What's up?" I asked Madison as she cleaned Avalanna's bed. "How can you promise her that none of y'all are gonna die? Your lying to her just to get her hopes up, then what happens if the unthinkable happens?" She asked quietly as she looked down at the bed to continue cleaning. "I'm not lying to her. I would never lie to my daughter. Especially about death. It's the truth. Yes, we will all eventually fall into a deep sleep that we can never wake up from, but that doesn't mean the person won't still be with us. Someone really close to me fell asleep forever and I was broken at first, but then I realized if I just remember that person, then their really not gone. It's all about what the mind tells the body." I winked as I left the room, leaving Madison really confused as she thought about my words. I walk into the hallway to see Avalanna hugging Doctor Adam then he kissed her cheek as he went into another patients room, the picture she drew him in his hands, while Avalanna blushed like crazy! I laughed at her when she came back to me. She had the biggest crush on him! He was a new doctor, and pretty young. He's around twenty four and was Avalanna's doctor and they were pretty close. I thought it was pretty cute at how she had a crush on him and he would playfully tell her how beautiful she looked every time he saw her just to see her blush. "Someone has a crush!" I sang playfully to her. She whined and put her hands in the air. I laughed at her and picked her up. "Your still my little baby." I groaned out as I set her on my hip as she dug her face into the crook of my neck. I laughed as I walked us down to the food court for dinner.....

"Ugh!" Groaned Avalanna for the billionth time that day. "I know baby, but there's nothing I can do about it!" I groaned again. The air conditioner was broke in the hospital, the sun was shining through the window, hitting both me and Avalanna, and we haven't eaten because the food court was closed and it was just really bad and we were both really cranky at the moment. "Daddy! Fix it!" She whined as she tugged on her hospital gown. I groaned again. "Baby, I already told you, for the billionth time, daddy can't do anything to fix it!" I whined as well. "Maybe if you take off your socks you'll feel a little cooler." I suggested. She whined again and handed her feet to me, I sighed and took her socks off of her. "Better?" I asked. She groaned and shook her head. "Avalanna Routh Bieber! There is nothing more I can do!" I said sternly. "Daddy please." She cried. I sighed as I took off my shirt. She gave me a confused look but I took the blanket from her hospital bed and tied it with my shirt and hung it against the window, blocking the sun from coming in. The room immediately got cooler and we both sighed in relief. "Thank you daddy." Avalanna praised me as she looked at me. "No problem baby." I said as I grabbed the cold wet washcloth from the sink beside me and walk over to her, gently wiping the sweat from her face. Just then the door opened and Doctor Adam walked in. He smiled at us. "Congrats Avalanna and Mr. Bieber, you can go home!" He said.

I have never grabbed Avalanna and all our stuff, and ran out of a building to my car as fast as I did that day.
